Figured I'd make a thread to discuss the game if anyone ends up watching it! Pleased for Gibbs who will start for England and get his fifth cap. He has a chance to try and stake his claim to that spot. Oxo, wilshere, Walcott, Welbeck and chambers are also in the squad and may start or come on from the bench.
I'm happy and worried at the same time. Good that we have so many players representing but worried that we may sustain some injuries. Any injuries to our key defensive personnel can spell serious trouble.
Watching Wellbeck makes me realise both of our main strikers have the same problem. Wellbeck is mobile and super industrius, Giroud holds the ball up soo well and is also pretty hardeorking but neither have a real goalscorers instinct. I'm hoping Wellbeck can develope a more selfish side to his game. He is still young enough.
Dreadful half. Not sure what Lallana or Sterling have done to get a start over the OX. Rooney has been ****e as well. First touch of a donkey.
That was good from Rooney. Was like his old self. Always rated Handanovic as a keeper - thought he would have been perfect for arsenal.
Wilshere has been good. Quicker on the ball. I think the player Wilshere should look at for inspiration is Modric.
If we can get Wilshere to be more disciplined for us as he is for England he'll be phenomenal. And once Welbz perfects his link up and geling with the team he'll be a foorce to reckon.
Yeah. Modric is a good player for him to aspire to be like. His performances for England have been good as of late. Let's hope he translates it to club.
Absolutely! He makes no sense. Not technically good enough to be a deep lying playmaker. Not defensively minded or aggressive enough to be a DM. Not athletic enough to be a box to box midfielder. Not offensively good enough to be an AMF.
