Chile are one of my favourite international sides. Their teamwork and work rate is phenomenal.
I am very happy with the Austin/ OBZ partnership but can't help feel that Vargas would get a stack full of goals in a more central position. It's good to have options I suppose!

It is a bit of a conundrum. How about this?

    ----------------------------Green------------------------
    Onuoha-------------Dunne---------Caulker------------Yun
    ----------------------Henry-------Barton-----------------
    Isla------------------------Vargas-----------------Hoilett
    -----------------------Austin----------------------------

Chile plays great through-balls going forward that allows their teammates to run on with pace and past defenders. All of their positional senses and understanding of each other are superb. Really enjoy watching them play. High energy and very motivated.

Very interesting line up there Rangercol, only change i would make is Onuoha out, Isla move back and have Matty Phillips wide right when we play at HQ, but your selection looks spot on for away when we need to be a tad more defensive.

Yeah I was searching for a way to keep Isla at RB but unfortunately I don't rate Phillips.

Maybe Isla at RB, Hoilett on the right and someone like Kranjcar/Fer or heaven help us Taarabt on the left of the three behind Austin?

Nice play by the pair of them and no injuries - we're lucky to have them with us. It makes considerable sense to sign players already familiar with one another on the international stage, who can then replicate that at club level.

In that case drop Isla back move Hoillett over to the right and maybe play Traore on the left?

And both are now looking settled into the club - this can only bode well for the rest of the season

Chile 1 Uruguay 2 - Vargas & Isla both featured in this international friendly last night.

Let's just hope they're both fit and ready to roll at 3pm on Sat at Newcastle.
