The post denial Plymouth a 4th, though it looks like Jone got a hand to is, so a good save in the end.
Our best chance there. Taylor challenged with the keeper for a high cross, the keeper fumbled and the ball fell to a Pompey player who tried to chip it over the keeper by the keeper caught it.
Blues fans are having a disco. Think they're bored with what's going on on the pitch, more exciting off the pitch.
Express FM commentators saying that Pompey's fans are "having a party", As you say meowth, not a sound coming from The Pilgrim's fans.
Goodness, is this actually a professional football team I'm watching? Or are Plymouth playing a Southern League side for some reason?
Such sarcasm Lapras !! Probably an accurate comment though. I decided against trying to watch the game. Good decision I think. Will watch the Aldershot game on BT Sports though on Wednesday.
First touch is appalling, crossing is appalling, our players are pushed off the ball as if they're a bunch of 8 year olds, all we do is head and hoof it up, which isn't that suprising considering our passing is awful
Final whistle. 3-0 defeat. Good news (if there is any) is that we didn't concede another goal after Argyle's third goal went in after 30 minutes. We survived 60 minutes without conceding again, if that is some kind of consolation.
Game over. 3-0 win for Plymouth. Not a game I expected anything from given Plymouth's strength as a home-side - I'd hoped we might have got something but that was about it. Whatever Andy Awford's plan was going into this game that penalty destroyed any chance of its success. The team had no opportunity to settle into the new system and struggled to get into the game ever since. Getting a 3-0 lead early allowed Plymouth to just sit back and rely on their formidable defence to keep us out, and Plymouth were excellent in that area and, indeed, in endeavour as they beat us to the ball more times than not. Have to hand it to Plymouth for a thoroughly professional and efficient performances, and they were well worth their win. It's not the end of the world for Pompey who remain in the top-half and within touching distance of the playoff zone - but we do need to reassess and try to find out just why our form dipped so badly. I just hope that the board will show some trust in the manager because the last thing we need is to get rid of another manager and usher in another period of instability.
We had 58% of possession according to BBC Sport site. They had 16 shots - 6 on target, and scored 3 goals. We had 14 shots - 4 on target, and failed to score a single goal. Says everything really.
That's because Plymouth took their foot off the pedal, bit like us against Morecambe last year. Despite that, they still hit the woodwork twice.
