On the Mrs orders, I've had to "clear up" the room I call my office. Its the place where I have my library, computer and printer and all my assortment of personal items including my Chelsea memorabilia! In the process I've located lots of items that have been hidden away and not seen daylight for many a long year, among which is my old mah-jong set brought home from Shanghai by my great-grandad in 1900, my programme from the Bob Dylan concert at the Albert Hall in 1965 and greatest of all, the Chelsea programme of the first game I ever saw at SB -v Preston North End on the 21st March 1959 (the Chelsea team, Matthews, P.Sillett, Whittaker,Mortimore, Scott, Crowther, Blunstone, Greaves, Tindall, Nicholas, Harrison). Whats better is I've nowhere near finished yet! Who knows what else I'll find! I'll have to go and give the Mrs a big smacker for nagging me!
Nice one blue. However, if you really want to clean up financially on a memorabilia front you need to unearth a Steve Gerrard league winners medal. Happy hunting.
Just be careful she doesn't con you into flogging it all and blowing it on a new kitchen or some other crap you don't need. Devious bastards these women. My mum once told my dad to dump about 100 old signed photo's of 1920/30 's film stars. He took them to auction instead and got over £1500. Just shows you that you sometimes don't realise what you've got kicking about.
Know what you mean B&A! A few years ago I was rooting around the aforementioned office with my son and came across TWO copies of the programme Chelsea v Real Madrid in the Euro CWC in Athens! I don't know how I had 2 because I only bought one! My boy said "l'll put that on ebay for you!" It made £180 and I gave him £50 for his trouble!
