The logical conclusions / options appear to be:

    > The bidding process isn't corrupt or

    > The bidding process is corrupt.

There may be another option but I can't think of it right now. So if the bidding process isn't corrupt then we must conclude that all these powerful vested interests with their multiple advisors concluded that giving the World Cup to Qatar in the middle of the desert in the middle of summer is the right thing to do (remember they weren't bidding on a summer world cup that magically shifts to the winter, which is IMHO a completely different bid). So surely the options above are therefore:

    > The bidding process isn't corrupt or

    > The voters are stupid.

I believe we should withdraw from FIFA over this. After all, even the small amount of hassle we've caused so far will ensure that we never get the world cup again anyway!

I can't believe we were the corrupt ones and we still came last. If that investigation is true, which i highly doubt, we should be asking for our bribes back

Nothing quite like self-regulation to keep the money flowing is there!

Morocco were found to have been attempting to bribe FIFA officials for the 2010 tournament and they didn't get the tournament - which either means their actions swayed the vote in favour of South Africa...or they should've bribed those other three voters just to make sure.

The plot thickens. Now Garcia, the lawyer who conducted the investigation says that FIFA's report contains "numerous materially incomplete and erroneous representations of facts and conclusions" also known as lies?....

It just shows how little FIFA think of the supporters and the individual FAs. They can't even be bothered to try and make it look legit.
Even their investigation into their own corruption is corrupt.

I don't understand how they're not breaking any laws, to be honest. The police probably don't care anyway, as it's rich people being dodgy.

Even by FIFA's standards it's quite unbelievable how quickly this report has been utterly discredited.

Apparently, the FBI have now stepped up their criminal investigation into FIFA's conduct. Using evidence, allegedly, from former FIFA official Chuck Blazer.

It does. I didn't think that Sepp Twatter & co had many feet left that they hadn't already shot themselves in, but they seem to have outdone even their own crass behaviour this time.

There should be no question, just pull out of FIFA. This corrupt organisation is beyond fixing.

Like any decayed edifice, it needs tearing down and rebuilding from the ground up.

We need the League of Shadows, and then to hope FIFA don't have Batman.

I don't get why all of these other organisations are standing for it.
Sure, some of them are actually in on the corruption, but what about the Premier League or La Liga?
I'm sure that they don't want a World Cup in the middle of their seasons, especially when other people are lining their pockets on the back of it.

There's no grounds for complaint from the Premier League or La Liga about a World Cup (potentially) falling in the middle of their season for a very good reason: you don't see the Brazilian league, the Argentine league or MLS or numerous other leagues in Europe, the Americas or Asia complaining that a World Cup falls slap bang in the middle of their respective seasons every four years.

If we could at least start by removing "***in" then perhaps the rest of his band of thieves can be brought to book.
