Cracks are deepening between Blatter and Platini but unfortunately I can't see UEFA pulling away either.

So true. But it needs something like that to happen. The fact that the 2022 World Cup is going to drive a coach & horses through the UEFA / european programme should IMO light the fuse.

If and it is a mega IF uefa did pull away i also think that many south american countries would join the break away.

Then FIFA would have little of quality left. Here's hoping mind............

I'm amazed that this hasn't already become a serious legal matter. We're talking about an organisation which oversees a multi-billlion pound industry.

As I mentioned earlier, FIFA is a private association. I'm not sure what jurisdiction the FBI have with such an entity in Switzerland.

Maybe the tax authorities should take an interest in current and ex-committee members.

But we're talking about Switzerland - one of the most secretive tax jurisdictions in the developed world.

    FIFA will only change if
    a) it voluntarily chooses to do so
    b) by force, for example if National FA's threatened to form their own rival governing body.

Damian collins MP calling for serious fraud office to investigate any offences in their jurisdiction...really hope so
“The Serious Fraud Office have reiterated to me that they will act if it’s clear they have jurisdiction to act, so if coming out of the Garcia Report there is clear evidence of meetings that took place within their jurisdiction which they could investigate, I hope they follow up on that."

Greg Dyke just had a shocker on Newsnight - a messy interview about the Fifa business, an awkward exchange over the freebie watch, and finally a cringe-worthy dodge of a question about Ched Evans.

I knew there was problems with decision making at FIFA when I didn't make the ballon d'Or shortlist.

Said it once, will say it again, FIFA and Blatter are corrupt to the core, everyone on the street knows, everyone in the game knows it, and everyone in FIFA know it but a self regulating body is never going to admit its failings, until there is someone with support to sweep the floor clean of these greedy hypocritical self egotistical morons, then this farce will continue.

It would appear the German FA are also a bit miffed with FIFA

    http://www.goal.com/en-sg/news/5456.../14/6156751/fifa-is-rocked-to-its-foundations

The problem with UEFA leaving FIFA and others following suit is that Platini hates the english about as much as Blatter does, so will it change for the FA. NO it wont, they would be even more foolish to think they would have more sway with UEFA than they have with FIFA.
