  1. I'd have thought me voting for myself would have helped your tactic <whistle>

I had an idea for the journalist role.

It starts as a townie but 1 mafia member is allowed to try and bribe him to join them on the first night. If the journalist agreed, he becomes mafia, if he disagrees then he stay a townie and can reveal he tried to be bribed in the paper however the mafia know who he is and can therefor kill him off.

Might not last very long in the role if you don't agree being the only problem.

I think the idea of having a choice on if you move over or not is a good one though. You can either be be pressured to move to mafia and join their dark side, or stay loyal and gain information on 1 of the members, but know full well if you inform the ret of the town about them then you automatically die.

Would see who is really playing for the team orjust themselves.

  3. You did say as much in the Freemasons thread which of course was equally funny <laugh>

(trying to encourage AFC to claim he is a Mason but saying as much in the Mason thread which bod had access to and told AFC)

  5. Would need a bigging pull to stay innocent though. No one would refuse to join mafia to be killed the following night. Its also better on the mafia team.

Oh, and who ever runs the next game, can we have clarification on closing times of the votes.

If it's 8pm or 7:59... be nice to know from the start of the game <whistle>

Unless we use Gerrez idea of random nightfalls. I like random idea as means cant have any last minute switches but I think should be like "nightfall will be betwee 6pm and 8pm" tonight and come up with a set time between that but don't tell anyone. Then you can change the time each day without telling anyone so people have to be more strategic with their votes.

It was quite fun watching it all unfold <laugh>

All the help with the vote tables also made it a lot easier <ok>

I think it is more that town was lucky to be honest! <ok>

Much like the last game KGB winning had a huge amount of luck involved. Town winning this time had a huge amount of luck involved. If Lucaaas had recruited anyone who COULD be recruited- you'd have been up to 4 again... then maybe 5... you'd have been huge before you we caught anyone.

Trying to recruit someone who couldn't be recruited is the only reason you lost. You had a lot of powerful abilities... dumb luck cost you. (that and IBWT killing himself on day one... <laugh>)

Town had a lot of strong roles too though.

<laugh> brb was pretty funny! I was gonna assassinate him if he didn't get lynched though lol, he was too unpredictable! I'm supposed to be the crazy one :p

  10. What I was thinking was the Mafia then can't watch the vote and just pick someone that isn't under threat. On the other side of the coin, there may be two in the running for the lynch (a innocent and mafia) but then the mafia bump the innocent off an hour before leaving the mafia guy exposed.

Random nightfall with one role being able to figure out when nightfall will be? Possibly a mafia role?

  12. Did you like my roles idea too...? <whistle>

For those that don't see it (dead board), I suggested having random times, secret rules and no bad guys <laugh>

Or they could be on neither side but be swayed and bribed and if they agree to release false info they get some sort of reward. Would allow people to use their powers of persuasion and actually give people a choice in the matter. Think it makes things a bit more realistic giving someone the choice of either going to the dark side, or taking one for the team.

Maybe it can be done 2 or 3 nights in so if you do "take one for the team" you've still played an active role for a good amount of time

Have to say I was shocked that other people voted with me to kill brb and none of them where mafia lol, I thought it was soooo obvious he was innocent!

  15. The mafia rules were better this time I thought. The restriction on use/passing was good as was the unlimited use of recruit and kills. As a meber of KGB in the last game, it was frustrating for the last three days that the only power we had left (recruit) was useless as we remained in tact.

  16. The weatherman...? <laugh>

No, it would have to be just random nightfall.

I think the hack we used worked well.

IT put a lot of doubt. People didn't think it had been hacked but it confused things around milk being classed as just a regular townie and confirming lucaaas was still innocent etc.

    Unfortunately never quite worked.

Bit gutted I got lynched first night thank to BRB's mental behaviour, I don't think any of you really thought I was mafia but no one deceided to take their vote off me...

Again, I know it was proven right this time, but in the opening rounds it does prove the point that if you do anything controversial or talk a lot, It brings attention to yourself and people look at that as a sign of guilt, rather than looking at the quiet ones and putting them up to see if that gets a reaction.

  18. Maybe give the mafia and freemasons so many credits and the bid for the info...? Obviously the more you spend the less you have later.

Right, time to step away from the iPad. I've done nothing but sit here and imagine I'm in goodfellas since I got home from work, my dinner is sat cold in the kitchen!
