(incidentally- on the Freemason board I said that I was going to shoot Danilo tonight... I wasn't planning on doing so- I was trying to get a reaction- figured since you read everything might as well throw you off... had no intention to use bullet tonight)

Town was quite lucky there.

Seeing as I nearly slit my own throat on day 1, I've really enjoyed this game. Cheers lads

 

I have to say- it's kind of crazy that IBWT was still able to grant powers of recruitment, etc, from beyond the grave!

 

Because I would die tomorrow, then it would be all you guys trying to figure out who was recruited, swarbs would have had no powers, eventually you and TB would have just voted as a 2 until they were all dead and you were the only ones left

 

That helped me alot....
Gave me a chance to push a non mafia as a dodgster!

 

Don't agree at all. I don't think you can have too many complaints about today's paper either. Unbelievably, most didn't believe it and Danilo was looking like getting lynched until you let AFC loose

 

I agree, looking at it i would expect mafia to win unless they got very unlucky

 

Things that happened in this game:


Day 1

Very late IBWT decides to cancel his coersion attempt, then instead acts like he is being coerced himself, which ultimately backfires because of brb's chaos

Valley has a meltdown and starts acting like he is being coerced before coming to his senses

At one point there was a 4-way vote with 3 mafia members at risk

brb changes vote literally in the last minute to IBWT, who turns out to actually be mafia, sparing brb from certain night 2 lynching

2 other mafia members jump in to rescue IBWT but the time limit invalidates thier votes and brb's eratic behaviour disguises their move

The mafia Godfather was invisible because he didn't use his powers the first night, the journalist happens to investigate him at this time and so receives an inaccurate report which he publishes in his first newspaper article

The detective discovered the identity of the vigilante

The cop didn't turn up


Day 2

danilo makes a post strongly backing Lucaaas, which to me seemed a bit risky in almost admitting he was the journalist

People try working out what it means if the next paper says it was hacked

The hacker broke into the freemason board by identifying Swarbs

The investigator uses his secret board to ask the cop to arrest Lucaaas, while Lucaaas was planning a dangerous recruitment attempt against the vigilante

The cop doesn't turn up again so Lucaaas is not arrested, attempts to recruit the vigilante, and there is a shootout with both surviving but learning each other's identity

The vigilante kills town member Gerrez

The vigilante used 1 bullet on Gerrez and 1 in self-defence, meaning he now has no bullets left until a secret extra bullet arrives Thursday morning. He bluffs on the forum he has extra bullets anyway

The assassin kills the investigator (who was going to investigate Gerrez)

The journalist discovered the identity of the hacker


Day 3


Journalist attempts to publish an article backing up Lucaaas as innocent but is hacked and the new report says Mummy is a town member

New cop arrives and reveals the investigator's discovery of the vigilante

Day 4

Mummy tries to get mafia to bluff as freemasons, unaware the board was hacked

Assassin is lynched before he can kill Red Hadron Collider

Journalist was arrested

 

Not as powerful as you think. They were able to pass powers about but couldn't use them the same night if they did

 

That was me.

I gave my assassination power to AFC on the first night as he had no role, that was why there was no action. 2nd night I attempted to recruit you but you were the vigilante. 3rd night I was allowed to give my recruiting power to Bodanki despite being way ahead in the lynch and certain to die.

 

I think the game was pretty much won in two key parts. First when BRB did a crazy last minute switch to kill IBWT and then when we hacked the article but it made me look less innocent than the actual article by danilo that it replaced

 

My role swap theory was good! Pity we forgot all about it as no one was visibly recruited!

 

The Mummy recruitment attempt was also crucial, if Lucaaas had passed the power the 2nd night he wouldn't be discovered and he would have got the powers back if the assassin/recruiter were killed

 

I have to admit... if you died and game wasn't over- I would have turned my attention on the two other freemasons because AFC had said before dying

a) that the freemasons were compromised
b) after dying he said he had told the truth before dying

When you didn't fold I had begun to get suspicious of the masons- but the claim that there was only 1 Mafia the night before got me thinking they couldn't be involved.




Don't know if I could have got town to go along with me though- they'd probably have gone after me!
