They've had since 10am yesterday to put together a story.


I've no idea if Danilo is telling the truth or not. However, it doesn't matter if we kill an innocent townie role tonight. The important thing is not killing a "Known Role"- free mason or journalist. If Danilo is lying we will know tomorrow- so might as well keep him alive for now.

I would recommend we arrest him though. That way- no paper tomorrow would support his claim. No kill tonight would support theory he is assassin. (and would protect him as journalist).

And also if he is the journo he can't be assassinated (we hope), or at least has a chance that TB will protect him.

Not quite sold on danilo as the journo yet, will wait and see what claims are made, but if no one comes forward to dispute this then I think the flip should be between afc and Valley.

We'll wait until 10am tomorrow. See if anyone else comes out as journalist. If before 10am no other journalist comes forwards- we know Danilo is the journalist- we can probably believe him and we've won the game. (see my posts yesterday, worst case scenarios).



In the meantime- on the off chance we were correct about Dan and AFC being the mafia- they would protect their most important person (Assassin) by claiming he is journalist to save the other. Putting him in jail saves him but means there would be no assassination tonight.




At the moment- I would say 50/50 chance of Danilo telling the truth. His record of events would explain why he has been sceptical of me all along!

either of you want to save your skin by claiming to be Freemasons or the Journalist? The only way town can lose this game is if we lynch a "Town special Role" so if you're a freemason or a journalist and one of the two up for the chop you better announce it before the lynch.


Valley--- you're still online- are you willing to declare one way or another are you "Town" or "Town Role".

(you can claim mafia if you like- although that would probably be ill-advised... )

 

Of course I'll explain the numbers but only once another person comes forth to claim journalist. In essence it guarantees that I have a role. Either Mafia or Journalist. Also unless astro has added MORE powers allowing hacker to post a journal entry while I'm in jail or even given them extra hacks (which, by the way, we should avoid in the future) then tonight there shouldn't be a paper. If STB arrests me (he should) then I won't get the results of tonights investigation either. Just so you know.

 

Or just wait until 10am and see if an article is published. I would assume the journo can't publish an article if he's locked up! Just need to make sure TB reads this in time, and locks up danilo!

I was noting that too... although he could be a Mason and that's why he's not disputing it.

Who are you investigating tonight?

Tbh locking you up tonight essentially allows the town to investigate you anyway - like you say you are now either journo or Mafia. If an investigation is published tomorrow then we know you are Mafia, if not then we know you are the journo. So we don't really lose anything by you not being able to investigate someone tonight.

 

Almost certain that AFC will vote Valley- so I'd recommend Danilo hold onto his vote unless AFC is a no show.

One thought: Say Danilo is mafia and we arrest him. The journalist doesn't come forward tonight for whatever reason, favouring the idea of outing Danilo in the paper. The mafia, however, then hack the post to not publish anything. We then think Danilo is the journalist.

Just an idea.

 

Under such a scenario the real Journalist will need to come forwards... and then we can figure out which one is real.

Best case scenario- newspaper tomorrow says that there was no hack yesterday AND Danilo is Mafia.

 

Danilos story sounds plausible, but it still doesnt explain why the last article, if not hacked, has me as the hacker, unless the mafia are able to feed him false info.

 

Worst case scenario at the moment is if both Valley and AFC are masons.
