Just in case DTLW hasn't posted this up yet, Les Reed reveals the secret in the video of a reasonable article: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/...14-gordon-simpson-on-southampton-defence.html
A lifetime of supporting saints lends itself to negativity. But I believe. A top six finish is there for the taking. We have the team spirit, we have more strength in depth, we have the quality, but more importantly we have Ronald Koeman. The only question this season for saints fans is; how high can we finish. It's the best Southampton team I have ever seen, we are at the top of the table on merit, and we should fear no-one.
Of course, there's all that gelling stuff to go through. Apparently, it can take upto a season for players to gel. So Saints are obviously playing absolutely **** at the moment. No wonder Tadic said we'll get much better, just the other week.
I think it may be down to the fans, strong but quiet and appreciative, none of that inane raucous chanting stuff, we are above all of that.
Ah..! Well that flies in the face of a report taken only last week which said that the Saints crowd are the second loudest in the PL. Can't remember who were first but it wasn't Chelsea.
