I am still adamant that we need to imprison our would be assassins, if we lose two townies tonight (to a lynch and assassination), then that would be catastrophic and put the mafia in a firm lead.

Danilo is pleading his case, which leads me to believe he is the hacker.
I am just waiting for his 1:0 code stuff to come spilling out as I am sure that was put in there for this very purpose, to save his ass.

Day one had to have been hacked because it said Lucaas was innocent when he wasnt, so even if the hacker CAN hack more than once, we know he hacked Day 1, Day 2 wasnt hacked as journo was protecting Milk, hence the innocent statement, then this morning its hacked again and all of a sudden I am the hacker.

I will back you up on this! <ok>
You're usually quiet early in the game and get slightly more active as the game goes on.

All that is assuming day 2 was hacked and day 3 is accurate. I tend to believe days 1 and 3 were hacked... but have no clue- tomorrow will possibly clear things up.

That works for me... and if AFC the other person in the split vote is actually a Mason he should speak up soon before we put you and him up for a split vote. Valley is the third person you mention- whom I believe STB to be arresting. Bodanki is in that group- but I recommend holding off him until tomorrow. Tomorrow's paper may give more details on him.

I agree... but it would take extreme measures for Mafia to win now, tbh. So you'd probably consider pulling off a stunt like that.

  8. It was that that got me killed but for the wrong reason since I was innocent :)

I sent this PM to Milk after I died:

Only if two "town roles" die tonight do we lose the lead.

If one regular townie dies and one "town role" dies tonight- town remains in the firm lead. Remember- town only needs to kill the assassin and have two known "town roles" remain alive to win the game. (because they can band together and win the vote). We have 5 known town roles. Cop, Journalist, Vig, and 2 masons..

We can afford to lose one of them and still be in the majority of town being town role. We can't afford to lose two.

The reason I turned ghost mode on (during Mafia 1- when I was hosting) - was so that I could watch without posting and pretend to be away if I were Mafia in a later game (thinking ahead). I knew if I turned ghost mode on after a game started it would look suspicious as hell... as did you going invisible... obviously you were innocent.

Usually would only suspect someone to go ghost in middle of game if (guilty)... or innocent and playing tricks on mafia later in the game... too early and no reason to be playing tricks- so assumed had to be guilty... <laugh>

Obviously I was wrong- and I'm sorry I shot you... but I do think my choosing to shoot the guy that went ghost early in the game (who was also acting weird) was a correct strategy, especially when you didn't fess up after being caught straight away. <ok>

BTW_ I will also point out that one other person turned ghost mode on for this game (but wasn't in previous games) and that was Lucaaas- who did turn out to be guilty! <ok>

  12. That would have confirmed suspicion. Someone else mentioned that the mobile app appeared as a ghost (which I knew was BS) so went with it <laugh> You also accepted this at the time but killed me anyway #****

Still proud of my #teflon reputation. Can't even lynch myself :)

I questioned the "mobile" thing... and I only saw that after 8- after it was too late to change.

  16. Generally not happy at start of the week because of personal life stuff. I wasn't bothered about playing this time and only said yet because (a) the numbers were slightly down on the last two games; and (b) the board is dead whilst Mafia is being played.

    Votes are still:
    Current votes. Check for mistakes.

    danilo (2) Mummy, Nozzer
    Nozzer (1) afcftw
    Valley (1) Swarbs
    afcftw (2) Sir Tennisball, Bodanki

    Not voted: danilo, RHC, Valley

I still say AFC's vote is bad for town. At worst Nozzer is the hacker. Killing the hacker helps but doesn't win the game. Winning the game depends on killing the assassin. We know for a fact Nozzer isn't the assassin.

I don't like how many candidates are so close with 3 people not having voted- and two of them on the shortlist.

Not necessarily. My current assumption remains:

    1. Mafia have a hidden power to protect one member per day from being identified. Lucaaas was recruiter and this was used on him on day one, also day two. This would explain why he didn't show up as Mafia day one, or recruiter when lynched on day two (astro's message said he had 'no known role', and not 'no role').

    2. Journo identified Milk as vigilante on day two, but chosen not to publicise this as no vigilante kills had been made when the report was submitted, so the town would not want Milk revealed and taken out by Mafia before he could use his kills

    3. Today's paper may have been hacked, to focus attention on Bodanki and thus away from Mafia. Also gives the assassin a good way out if they are in danger of being lynched - they can claim to be the journo and reveal the secret of the code in the paper, thus saving themselves to kill another time.

I may be wrong about 3 - it is feasible that the Mafia hacked the paper on day 2 to say Milk was innocent, in the hope that when this hack was revealed we would then target Milk and lynch him, assuming it must mean he is Mafia. That would be quite a clever trick to pull imo, so I wouldn't rule out Bodanki being the hacker.

Either way, I would agree that we need to look at danilo, afc and Valley as the most likely assassins atm. Unfortunately, if we take assumption 1 as being valid, that means the Mafia will almost certainly protect the assassin from investigation tonight.

So I would agree that we need a coin toss between danilo and afc, and TB needs to arrest Valley. Then wait and see for tomorrow's paper, and what assassination occurs tonight.

    I vote danilo

Can't see afc voting to put himself in a coinflip with danilo!

We need RHC or Valley to step up and vote afc for the three way tie. Then we can see what afc and danilo do...

Just make sure you arrest Valley tonight. The sheep of the island deserve a night off <ok>
