So the issue is jealousy of being a fairly high paid pro footballer, if the guy was a binman and was released and went back to his old job Dev would be satisfied with this outcome.
Dev's views are based on Ched being paid a handsome wage and justice=$$$ in Dev's World so the best thing would have been to give her a months wages and everyone wins.

Would he need to declare to his employers that he was a convicted rapist? I'm also pretty sure that the prison system tries to rehabilitate inmates back to work on release so i am not so sure a Council HR department would refuse Ched his job back as a binman.

On release convicted rapists should not be allowed buy duck tape or a Transit van for a 5 year period.
