Dunno mate. Maybe in doing so he figured the Cops would then assume he was innocent. Doesn't look good. The other bloke's been hospitalised.
That's the conclusion that I came up with. I think I'll wait to here what actually happened first though. There's more to this than what is intended in the misleading story I feel.
