Apparently Qatar have been cleared of corruption in winning the world cup. All those payments made to officials, including a substantial sum to one officials 15 yr old daughter are ok. England however are to be charged as we played a friendly game against Trinidad in order to get Jack Warner on side. also funded a 36k dinner in his honour.

If it leads to members of the FA being imprisoned I'm all for it. I still think it's a toss-up as to whether Blatter is more or just as bent as the FA.

Perish the thought, wash your mouth out with soap and water for merely suggesting the paragons of virtue that we know as FIFA would ever have a corrupt thought in there collective heads.

<laugh> I'd love it! I don't know what I'd decide: finally expose everything at FIFA, or take whatever's offered my way. Choices, choices.

Possibly both, if I could find a good place to hide.*

*Probably the Everton board; no-one looks there.

It's so patently corrupt that really until the sponsers see being linked to it is poison it will not stop

If the next World Cup sponsors were systematically attacked and saw sales fall in rich countries it'd be something

It's all about power fa have none for fake playing high ground and not swilling with blatter while being dirty themselves

If dyke had power he'd be as bad

"Garcia, together with deputy Cornel Borbely, interviewed individuals involved in all nine bids, across 11 nations."

Sounds like a through investigation. Now I'm no high priced fancy lawyer but I reckon some of these people could have been lying. Phone records, bank statements etc would have been included in my investigation but then I'm no independent Fifa investigator.

Ideally yes, but would they be able to? FIFA is just a body; it's not the police. It's quite possible that they could have asked for them, but that people would be within their rights not to provide them (for legitamate reasons as well, not just to cover-up wrongdoing).

England isn't being punished for bribery.

England is being punished for not bribing enough.

Moral to be learnt- if you're going to bribe FIFA- make sure it's a big bribe not a small one.

Moral of the story is to maintain your lie, lie to the investigator, lie to Fifa, never let one element of truth slip out.

The FA should do a Cameron and refuse to pay and threaten to leave - I'm sure that will frighten FIFA into putting their house in order <laugh>
