Important Police Bulletin:

After reviewing my case notes, I have come across some very important information after receiving correspondence from an amateur sleuth called Mito, who was killed while investigating the Mafia on the island. Sadly he was killed before I got to meet him in person, but his notes he left behind sheds some light on this web of lies.

I can confirm that an investigation that he undertook on day 1 was a stakeout on a certain Mummy, also known as Milk. Without a shadow of a doubt it was proven that Milk is a trigger happy vigilante, who rather disturbingly has posters of Private Pile from Full Metal Jacket all over his bedroom.

I encourage all of you to look back at the pages and pages of comments in light of this news, and see if you can pick out any other useful info so that we can debate it. I will be voting for Lucaaas as a result, let's string him up!

Keen to hear some of your thoughts on my arrest to be made tonight, I have some ideas but I'm not sharing them.

Obviously in light of this no townie roles need to reveal themselves to collaborate his story!

 

I've seen a suicide bomber role before actually... although it didn't work exactly how your role suggestion worked... if the assassin tried to kill the suicide bomber both the assassin and the bomber die... that's the only way the bomb could be activated.



I had an idea once, but never used it thinking it a little too silly- was to have a ticking package. It is given to one person at start of the game- and host decides it will explode on a pre-determined night. If you have the package you can pass it to someone else at night (or hold it if you wish). You can't give it back to who gave it to you. If you have the package when it explodes- you're dead. So idea being- if you're town you try and give it to someone you think is Mafia... and vice versa.

Ultimately never used the idea in any of my games because I figured it's more going to be just a random death than a tactical use.

 

That settles that then Lucaas is going down

As for arrests, if we know for sure Milk is deffo the vigilante, there is no need to arrest him.
I don't really have any other arrest suggestions to be honest......

 

The other implication from this is that MITO didn't investigate Bodanki. So Bodanki isn't quite off the radar.

MITO had already alluded as much, but this confirms it. And makes things look bad for Lucaaas.

As an aside, it also means that MITO's (apparent) feeling of innocence around Bod was only a feeling.
With Milk it was more than a feeling...

 

Then we may as well arrest Milk in the hope it protects him. He can't use his powers tonight anyway.

 

For those of you that don't know (i.e. everyone except Swarbs), I'm South African so I'm 2 hours ahead of you guys. That means that your 8pm is my 10pm, so it shouldn't affect me that much.

Tonight though I'm painting my flat as I'm selling it soon, so won't be online too much. I finish work at 17:30 (15:30 your time) so I probably won't be online all that much this evening.

I've already voted for Lucaaas fr the lynching, I'll PM Astro with my arrest but will in all likelihood PM him later before the 8pm deadline with a different name depending on what's happened between now and then. Please let me hear on your theories for the arrest, especially in light of Milk telling the truth and being a vigilante.

 

You could combine the suicide bomber roles I suppose. Or combine your suicide bomber with my booby trap.

he was a brave and useless detective. much like a character of new tricks or a fat slob off the bill but he had integrity he had no f'n gun for some reason unlike his cop buddy who went awol.

"I wish i'd been more brave like BRB and told everyone" was his last words.

he died like he lived, eating doughnuts when a dirty mafia bartard crept up on him and shot him down. His notes and papers scattered on the floor unnoticed by the mafia scum.

 

I tend to think Bod and Valley (or at least one of them) is innocent too. Can't completely rule them out- but they would be bottom of my watch list.

My gut feeling on who to arrest would be Swarbs. He very quickly pointed out that I had used two bullets. It could have just been an astute observation from a townie (in which case consider this a compliment Swarbs! )... but it showed that he had full knowledge of my situation.

In my PM Astro made it clear I had used the rifle, Charlene to fire the second bullet- meaning I couldn't make any more vigilante kills. If Astro made a similar observation to the Mafia team, that I used Charlene's second bullet it would have been clear in their minds too.

Also, if you're town, and you point out that I'm "out of bullets", you're pretty much giving the Mafia a big hint that they can kill a known innocent that night.

It's not much to go on. My opinion is he's either astute and paying good attention to the rules, or he is Mafia.

Would have been nice to have my innocence confirmed to the town tbh. Would make less room for error in the voting.

The only problem with arresting Swarbs is that he might be the journo.
If we arrest him and he is the journalist we get no paper tomorrow.
At least if we arrest you, we know a known innocent is safe from the assassin.
If you have no bullets left either, then its not like we lose your power.

Just a thought....

 

Or am I reading too much into Swarb's observation? Did anyone else immediately realise that both of Charlene's bullets had been used ?

Was it obvious and I'm dense? Or was it a clever observation? Who thought of that before Swarbs posted it?

 

Well it's not like we don't usually get a few random deaths anyway How many times can we give it to brb just out of interest?

 

I'm tending toward innocent on Valley now as well (having had my vote on him for around half the game so far ). Bodanki I keep switching between.

I had the same thoughts regarding bullets as Swarbs straight away, so don't see that by itself as a reason. That said, Swarbs is medium suspicion in my mind based on his behaviour, but nothing really concrete to point my finger at.

Afcftw remains higher on my list. Danilo and Billy I tend to innocent at the moment, but there's little to go on. Same for RHC, but I suspect him slightly more at the mo.

 

So it's settled... BRB is the postman in game 5!

I like that...if you are suicide bomber you take out anyone who takes you out...but if you get the package you get blown up yourself
