About coming out: The freemasons should be able to confirm each other as well, which will help remove doubt. The only option would be for the last two mafia to then claim to be freemasons, but that would be risky for them to say the least!

I would agree with Milk to wait until at least tomorrow though.

 

I didn't believe you but wanted to see what happened had you survived. Wanted to know if you'd die for speaking out if innocent. I'd voted for you on day two when you survived though

 

I wasn't 100%, but some of your replies didn't quite sit right. I certainly wanted you in the mix and only moved off once you went ahead (I think).

Don't come out tonight... and maybe wait until after newspaper as well... (in case that throws any interesting tidbits)... but Masons should consider coming out tomorrow... don't know if good idea or not- what do town think?- maybe wait until after nightfall tonight and spend the morning as a town considering the ramifications. Maybe not the journalist until the Assassin is killed... only exception would be when facing certain death.

There are two people who I think have roles... but not sure if town or mafia so I'll keep it secret until right before nightfall because I don't want to give the assassin ideas if he is an idiot and doesn't come after me tonight.

 

As with a lot of things I think Astro left it vague on purpose.

His initial statement on the cop was:

COP - Can put a player in custody for the night. The prisoner is released just after 10am the next day. The same player cannot be arrested two nights in a row. While in custody a player cannot use their powers. The cop's identity is known at the start of the game: Skylarker* is a dedicated public servant who cannot be recruited by the mafia or initiated by the freemasons. He can resist assassination with a shootout.

It doesn't make sense that an assassin would be able to get at someone in custody, so essentially it would keep that person safe until the next day (imho), but you can't do it 2 days running so it's not a long term solution.

 

An innocent would have be killed last night if you weren't voted off last night anyway!

Day 2 - they wouldn't have been allowed to say they had been forced though (at least that's what early draft of that role claimed)... so if so, they couldn't have said anything that would have proved your guilt.

Sort of a random place... but I had an amusing idea for a role:

"The Postman" - the postman is town aligned but has "gone postal"- the postman acts like the vigilante but he HAS to kill one person every night.

A vigilante who is forced to kill and not only kill when he has a strong suspect... Would be good for a large game with a lot of players where you don't want the game to last too long... not so good for a smaller game.

 

If he is then I will worship his every move

Not on the main thread... and since no one will get a PM from a heavy now, we won't know if the PM would have said that or not. In the sign-up thread where Astro suggested the role he said that the person being pressured would not be allowed to say he was being pressured or would be killed.

Maybe he changed his mind... between then and when the game started. OR... maybe it was going to be in the PM sent to the person pressured. Only Astro knows the answer to that at the moment.

 

What about "Suicide Bomber", where you can kill someone, but die yourself as well?

Alternatively, "Booby Trap", where if you get lynched, everyone who voted for you dies as well. That could be chaos...
