I'm half expecting Hamilton to be taken out on the opening lap and then Rosberg walks it until his gearbox or something fails with about 10 laps to go. Double dnf

Come on Rosberg, fingers crossed he gets the right result at Abu-Dhabi.

I assume it will go to count-back then?

Why would it go to countback?

Oh yeah Hamilton would be on more points anyway. Also in BLS's case, Rosberg could finish near the end of the race and still be classified assuming nearly all of the field has issues beforehand.

I reckon Hamilton will get a puncture and go out early. Rosberg will be in a title-winning position until the last corner. He will also get a puncture and be passed until he can not get the required points. Cue the lucky Hamilton remarks once again.

I'm not really sure what I want to happen to be honest:

-A dull Mercedes 1-2 would give the "fair" result in the championship, but make pretty boring viewing.

    or....

-Rosberg to take out Hamilton "accidentally", but damages himself in the process. He fights his way back up to scrape 5th as Vettel moves over in the last corner, in a blatantly patriotic gesture. Rosberg nicks the title by double points, keyboards around the world melt due to furious typing.

Hamilton leads, under pressure from Rosberg, finally goes off and seems terminally damaged, all Rosberg has to do is pass him but as he does so Hamilton reverses back into him, damaging Rosberg's car. Hamilton waits anxiously at trackside behind the catch fencing as Rosberg repairs to the pits to have the damage checked, the mechanics look, the wishbone is bent, they shake their heads. It's all over. As the news comes round that Rosberg can't continue, the camera catches Hamilton smiling to himself as he knows he has the championship. A dirty championship that some will never forgive him for.

This will all seem very familiar.

Especially in two year's time when he will have a massive punt at Jaques Villeneuve but it won't work this time.

Haha. Then a few years later he joins an ailing team. And brings them 5 titles on the trot? ;)
    Good fishing Eddie.

-It's normally the German that does things like this right?

Okay. Hamilton has gone well enough in Abu Dhabi in the past that he can definitely win. But Rosberg seems to have the qualifying edge at the moment. So I think he'll get pole.

Assuming Rosberg gets pole, I think there will be a call at some point, if he is in front of Hamilton, for the latter to hold station unless there's a major problem, to avoid a spin like in Brazil.

Unlike in Brazil with the Williams, I don't expect the Red Bulls to be close enough to Hamilton that they might run the risk of knocking him out of second and costing him the championship.

Therefore, Rosberg for the win, Hamilton for the WDC.

I can see the Mercs struggling in quali with the SS tyre like they have all season and Williams or Ferrari springing a surprise.

A bit of anglo german role reversal. Damon's revenge!

Not really fishing for anyone or anything in particular, just a bit of flippant fun.

I just hope it will be a clean result really. And not affected by reliability. Or double points. Or Rosberg winning.

If Caterham end up in Abu Dhabi, and if a group of private investors cough up the money, and if the stars align properly... we might get another female driver.

    AND SHE'S BRITISH!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula-one/30020798

sadly she normally races in Formula Renault Asia so even if she does make it she's probably not going to set the world on fire

Too much of a step up.

She did okay when she was racing in the UK and may be considered a prospect with more experience in higher categories under her belt, but not sure going straight from 200bhp to 700bhp cars with no simulator or testing experience is a bad idea.

Hopefully FIA won't give her the superlicence to allow her to do it.

You don't need a superlicence to do FP1, which is all she'd be doing.
