Only back three weeks from Glasgow and thankfully the sectarian stuff is not tolerated anymore in the vast vast majority of places. Its a changed city and for the better.Ofcourse there will still be handfuls of yobs, same as at every team in England

    Indeed.

If you look at Marlon King or the ex Brom striker that killed another motorist when apparently drink driving, why should'NT Evans be given the same chance

    Afternoon Mike

Would you say Blackpool fans have had to endure a worse time then Leeds fans in the past 15 years?

Not the first footballer to do this, and the others are still professional footballers

I have a sneaky that he's been fit up for this, and if he does get off I hope she is arrested for breaking plenty of laws. Also to make matters worse when most rape cases are thrown out or the perp gets off with it, this stupid cow doesn't help the cause of women does it.

I dont believe anybody convicted of rape or serious crimes of any description should be allowed to play football again. Doctors, teachers etc soon realise that they forfit their careers as well as jail. Tough luck I'm afraid. In this case though he should be kept on ice until a verdict is given on his appeal.

Not read everything about the Evans case although seen something along the lines of,it was rape because she was too drunk to remember and said she wouldn't have said yes.
If that's right not sure he's guilty myself.

Evans. I won't discuss his case as I don't know ALL the facts. I only know he has been found guilty & sentenced. Yes, he got out of prison early, but has he not been released on licence for the remainder of his sentence? If yes, and I think it may be, then the FL should not allow him to play, in the same way that Pistorious has been banned for the whole of his sentence, and not just the paltry jail time he'll do. This is justice being observed IMO, and it should apply to Evans.

Interestingly, if he was applying to be a director, his conviction would not be considered spent until 1 year after his 5 year sentence, as I understand the rules. Why should the FL ban an owner or director if a 'dishonest act' makes them fail their test, but players are not tested in the same manner?

Good call WJ because as I said earlier teachers, doctors, lawyers, bankers etc cannot expect to get a job in their fields again. Directors again is correct and the joke about the fit and proper rule smacks of stupidity especially when the player can keep his job. The blunts are making themselves look like a greedy, desperate buch of coonts and the players union are double bent. he should keep his head down until he is proved innocent, and then go back with his head held high and kicking off about his career and earnings potential being stymied by a slag.

If however he doesnt win his case he should fook off and get a proer job on the bins or sweeping the streets. Its probably the only way these rich young kids will ever learn that they need to behave themselves and stop giving themselves a bad reputation.
