Change him now or go through another season like the last two. I would get rid straight away rather than waste further time backing a losing position.
the team deffo lacks real leadership, there's no heart no fight and no collective spirit we are steam rolled buy teams knowing we will concede sloppy goals, hard to see what capooh offers the team, ive seen people on here talk about how good he has been at times but i struggle to see it, he offers nothing
It's down to the captain on the pitch,to give leadership,as Blanchflower used to in th 60's,not the coach,all he can give is advice,then it's up to the captain to make sure the team use it
The players need to learn that the manager's in charge, whoever he may be, and that pissing about and not applying themselves isn't an option. Replacing Pochettino would simply make the next guy's job even harder, as the squad know what to do if they don't like him or he trains them to hard.
If that is a true reflection of the attitude of our squad, then let's get shot of the ****ing lot of them and replace them with some players with some balls, at least.
That being the case then a few fines are in order. I have my doubts, if Poch is struggling to control the squad then things will not get better. The sooner we replace him with an older tougher head the better. Otherwise you just prolong the agony. If on the other hand he manages to turn this around then my support for him will return.
Fining players can be problematic as even a month's wages, while an astronomical sum of money for any normal person, isn't too much for someone like Ade or any other senior player because of all the other ways they have to make money. I always think of fining players as the punishment that clubs use when they feel they have to punish a player but don't really want to have to. The only way Pochettino has to discipline players IMO is to drop them, drop them to the extent where they are training with the kids like Ade was with AVB, or even remove them from the public eye entirely like we appear to have done with BAE. This stops them from playing meaningful games and can severely damage their future career prospects, and crucially their future earning potential, which seems to be the most important thing to too many of these players. And that can be such a final step to take that he has to be very careful that he is sure who the bad apples are that he wants to banish before she takes the final step, because there is no way back for him after that. To assert his authority Pochettino needs to have the will to do so, and to be allowed to drop big names, big earners and big money signings by Levy. I therefore again express doubt that Poch will be able to assert his authority properly until he trims the squad, IF he is able/allowed to do so.
