forgive me. can someone please point to the post where i said i ENJOY tony pulis' football or even want him in charge? oh that's right - i've never said i do. BUT (and it is a big but and i cannot lie - and this is the whole point of even talking about him) i do think he'd do a good job with our current players whose attributes suit his methods far more than our current pass-from-side-to-side approach which is basically getting us nowhere. sometimes, things you dislike are good for you. like broccoli.
i'd also like to add that a complete bastard is EXACTLY what we need in charge of our team - we could probably do with one or two in the team as well. our players are on easy street at the moment.
no i didn't. i didn't say anything about his style, i was talking about how he should use our players. i said if he plays to our players strengths, ie play direct, like he did at palace, with fast wingers and play direct rather than pissing about with the likes of bradley johnson trying to be andrea pirlo, then it will work. his stoke team was horrendous to watch most of the time - no sane person would want to watch that every week. well, you know - you've got mccarthy.

Look Guru, I have enjoyed a bit of the banter here recently, particularly because a part of me thinks we thoroughly deserve it from Ipswich fans, but also because it's generally been good natured. I caught you with the most obvious baited fishhook a page ago, you've been spitting and flustering over my joke about JWM's post smelling of panic and over the last few days Carrabuh has had you running round on a leash, wouldn't it be better to just keep you head down and try again when it's forgotten?

I see the wind-up about it earlier got the two of them confused. I was just saying, hypothetically, that I think Pulis would be prepared to take our job, I never said I actually wanted him. But mostly I was just teasing JWM about the panic thing. Sorry Binners, you made an honest mistake
i think they've got confused with all the talk of pulis. he is merely being bandied around as a possible replacement should adams leave his post. as far as i'm aware, i've not read a single city fan who's said they'd be over the moon to have him in charge but the point i've been putting forward is that a) i think our players might work well with him in charge, and b) he may very well see our club as an attractive proposition, more so than those from binland seem to appreciate. his stock is very high right now - despite his limitations - and it would be seen as a coup to get him (rightly or wrongly). i think that's worth discussing.
