We should never have let him go. I think we'l end up with Bad Guzan,unless the Liverpool lad is any good. And Guzan is no where near as good as Duke.
I'm pleased for the lad, having ran the hull 10k for the club last year I got an opportunity to have a good chat with Matt Duke and he said one of his biggest disappointments was that he never got to play against Sheffield it'd in the cup the other year as he had forced his way into the number 1 shirt ahead of boaz. Meaning myhill played the cup games. There his boyhood club so probably a dream move for him. Disagree that he's better than guzan but a very nice bloke who deserves all our best wishes.
Similar feelings. Would have liked to see the Duke stay, but now he's gone I'd make Guzan top goalkeeping target, I honestly don't think there's much difference between him and Mannone.
Guzan was a good shot stopper,but theres loads of them. His desicion making was awful though. Duke commanded his area,and was at least as good a stopper ! imo.
I thought Guzan was OK, most goalies can be faulted for their decision making when you look closely but we did OK with Guzan playing for the most part.
Think Duke deserves to get no.1 jersey at a big club like Sheff U. he's been an excellent servant to us and good luck to him, think he'll send them straight back up as he'll be hungry for this chance as he's not had a run in a team for a the past 7 years.
