This is true. Sakho has been given a rough deal. But would Lovren really be 'sweating it out', does he care that much? Do any of them? I'm not sure, the performances this season suggest they're treading water, where's the fight, where's the awareness and intelligence. We need that change at the back, both in attitude and personnel, but who do you change when all our CBs have their flaws?

Not lazy at all (not liking the inference there either tbh). I used to call Joey ten bob head, as the ball used to come off his bonce at all sorts of angles.

He was also like bambi on ice on the ball, and every time it went near him you'd gasp, Sakho looks a similar player to me.

Sakho is one of the best CBs in the league and should start when fit

    No he isn't

Although, he is a better LB than any of the ones Man Utd spent £60m on last window <ok>

Sakho has proven he's a very good CB during his time at PSG and internationally. I thought he's been ok for us since arriving; some great moments and some dodgy ones. He might look like the next Djimi Traore in his movement, but he is certainly not awkward at all and is by far our best passer from defense. If he can get through the language barrier and become the leader we've seen that he can be, him and Lovren could be a great partnership - like we wanted when we signed them both and I still expect them to be with time.

If Tobes said that some would say it was racist... :emoticon-0114-dull:

seriously, I've made the comparison myself to traore in that he never looks comfortable on the ball. However, it was pointed out to me on here by one of our posters (might have been Bisc or Johnners, if memory serves me right) that the stats are that he very rarely loses possession or misplaces a pass. You certainly can't say the ****ing same for Lovren or, nowadays, Johnson as well.

Sakho is so far away from being the answer to our problems it's untrue. As for sticking him in the same boat as Skrtel I'm frankly blown away by that <doh>

As of now he may be a better bet than Lovren but walk into the Everton defence he certainly wouldn't. Maybe in front of Alcatraz like but even then I'm not so sure.

Yet another defender who reinforces the notion that Rodgers couldn't spot a good defender if his life (or job) depended on it.

He hasn't got the nickname Sakh O **** for nothing. Playing well for France means **** all when he's done nothing to suggest he can cope with Prem football.
