I'd personally still go for Rosler.

I know a fair few people might disagree but I would get all our resources together and try and get Tony Pulis in. He will get us back in the Prem. The football Palace played with him was nowhere near as bad as Stoke so hopefully won't be too bad footballwise.

Is this the Rosler who has taken Wigan into the bottom 3, who, allegedly, has lost the dressing room, has certainly lost the support of the fans and whose team on Saturday ' folded and gave up ' - his words not mine. Seems to sum up precisely my point about few reasonable alternatives both then and now.

You wouldn't need to get our resources together - Pulis would jump at the chance to come to a Club like ours. Would a Club like ours and especially its fans jump at the chance to get Tony Pulis?

    Sorry but that's bollux!

Why would Pulis want to go back down to the Championship when there will soon be vacancies in the Premier League? He has enhanced his CV after guiding Palace to safety last season. I would say that either Sunderland or Villa will be his most likely destinations!

i said it the other day, i think pulis is a good fit for our squad. we have the players on our books to play an aggressive, direct (not hoofball) style of football. its far more suited to that than the possession game we are trying to use at the moment. naturally it would go down like a lead balloon with some of our fans but so did adams, so will anyone i expect! what i do know is that he is a very astute manager who has guided a provincial club to an fa cup final and six years premier league football. that's the kind of legacy that our club should be looking to lay the foundations for. would he come here? depends on what sort of gear the club shop sells...

he's already on record as saying he would be prepared to drop down to the championship if the right offer came along. i think we can all agree that norwich are an attractive proposition at the moment with a very good squad, big crowds and money in the bank. if we offered him the job tomorrow i think he'd take it. he won't wait around on the off chance he gets a premier league job.

    Lets wait and see!

I for one would relish a Pulis Vs McCarthy clash at the next Old Farm! <ok>

    This whiffs of Binner-panic.

All this big swinging member show from them is ill-concealed irrepressible fear of us.

    I like.

with all due respect, i agree with rob that there was a hint of worry about your post. i think you know that city would do very well if pulis was appointed. its not in your interests for adams to leave anyway, but deep down you realise pulis would be a realistic candidate here.

    Bemusement? You're not kidding anyone.

Your frequent posts about us appointing Pulis reek of trepidation. They have the effluvium of hysteria. I can picture your hands tremble over the keyboard as you type your way to an uncontrollable swirl of terror.

    I like very much.

    Worry? Worry?!

Supers I have seen youtube videos of fainting goats less worried than JWM is at the prospect of our rightful place in the table being returned.

how is it panic? tbf Norwich is a bit of a no win situation if you are a manager, you were expected to go straight back up, if somebody like pulis fails because of adams failure, his stock will fade. and he might not get his big pay day.

Personally i reckon he is defo heading to sunderland at some point this season.

Joking aside, I would have to completely disagree Guru. Taking us on at the beginning of the season would be a bit of a no-win, but now we've had a rough patch he'll always have something to blame it on if we weren't to get promotion.

But more importantly let's face it, time and again football managers have proven impervious to the idea that certain football clubs might damage their reputation. Otherwise Harry Redknapp wouldn't be in a job. They also all seem to have absolute faith in their ability and Pulis would not be in the slightest afraid for his reputation (which I think would anyway be intact even he failed with us).

All this pre-supposes that our board would appoint him though. I don't know. While I agree with most on here that he's probably about as close to being a manager to guarantee promotion I'm not sure that should be the be-all and end-all considering the potential sacrifice. But I do love seeing you Binners squirm despite being ahead of us. Difficult to hide insecurities, eh?

you are right rob in a lot of what you say, And i wouldn't completely dismiss it like jwm has. but, and its a huge but, there will be plenty of other sides in better positions than you will be wanting his services, so i would be shocked if it did happen.

I've no doubt you would be "shocked" <laugh>...

The only thing I would say is I can't think of "plenty of other sides in better positions than [us]". No-one in the Championship, or at least no-one in the Championship who is a promotion contender and also can afford Pulis (now that Watford appear to have got through their one-night-stand stage).

The valid ones are the couple you mention at risk of losing their manager in the PL. But if the Norwich job were available right now, there is no competition. Would Pulis wait for a PL job on a hopeful note? There's absolutely no guarantee he'd get either the Sunderland or the Villa jobs, especially knowing what their fans are like too.

the thing is Rob, even if pulis did go to you, all we need to do is to concertrate on ourselves and what will be will be, our season isn't defined by how well you do, as is the reverse.

so i can't see why you say we are panicing!
