After a great performance yesterday I'm starting to reconsider one of my opinions on the current team. A few weeks back I was really fed up of colocini... He didn't look bothered or in any kinda of form and I was hoping in my mind that pardew would pull the trigger and instill Tiote as captain. However after his recent form and the goal from yesterday, what I found very interesting was the way the team and colo celebrated ... If anyone watching could question colos love of the club and the players trust of him as captain, I think we've been shown he's still 100 % our captain. So long may it continue and I hope colo keeps showin this passion !

He looks a lot better with Saylor or Dummett alongside. I think off field stuff may have played its part too in distracting with Jonas etc.

That said, like many others I think he was just in a bad trot of form.

I must admit I've always considered him the best choice for captain, and seen him as a leader. A good one but not a great one. I think he can be a bit quiet and when we are in poor form, maybe a stronger leader takes a grip a bit more. I like Tiote and admire his commitment. He is another good leader but not a great one. His reading of the game and game management skills are not up there with a top leader. The problem we have is we lack a natural leader who has all the skills. Organisation skills, ability to lead by example, game management skills etc. To be honest though players with it all are few and far between so its not surprising.

I was pleased for him and to be honest, he should really score more than he does.

Love him, always have and never doubted him at all. There was something special about seeing him score, gave me a nice warm feeling. Any luck he might score a header in the Derby. Christ that would be lovely.

Not that this means anything at all, but he has also made Garth Crooks team of the week for three weeks in a row. Even the uneducated are learning...

How can it be racist when Garth Crooks never even runs around anymore? He hasn't raced anyone in years. All that sitting down might finally be helping him learn something though as he now (sometimes) looks beyond the traditional top 4 for his selections. Then again, when you read his reasons for including people his thinking is still as skewed and mad as ever.

I was disturbed to see him include two Newcastle defenders, giving sound reasoning for both. It just seemed wrong. I think someone else did it for him this week. Read his comments about Sanchez, I was sat thinking the same thing myself yesterday. The lad has an insatiable desire to win games of football. His attitude is basically what winning football teams are made of and what all fans want from their players. Its a shame the rest of the team seem to have a finger hovering over the self destruct button every week. I honestly think Sanchez is one of the best players to arrive on these shores in recent years.

He better be. I've just transferred him into my fantasy team where Colo already possesses pride of place.

How's it racist? It's both Black AND White. No discrimination from me.

With the white hammer and sickle over a black background to signify a celebration of the white mans violent atrocities over the black man. I've got your number you big fat racist.
