It's all quiet on the Western Front.

The Mancs on here are not too bad, and the ones who aren't are kept in check.

Welcome to the site - there is nothing more annoying than being misquoted! We know we won't win. All about improvement.

In all my years living in Scotland I never heard an English commentator calling a Jock British until they lose, then calling them Scottish. And none of my Jock mates have ever been able to point one out to me, yet they're all convinced it happens. I have heard Jock commentators revelling in an English winner as being British. Kelly Holmes was very British in Jockland when she won double Olympic gold. They're currently referring to Andy Murray as British, though, because he lost. Again.

So remember: Andy Murray is a Scottish loser.

We say on here your central CM needs addressing, they say well it won us the league and got us to the CL final and then on their own board they say We need to address the cm area.

^ is just the tip of the iceberg, a lot of them can't won't drop the bitterness even though they are ahead on leagues, I can understand it chasing our record in the league but you'd think they'd slack off now and be able to have a decent honest football debate instead of jumping on anything even remotely critical of mungchester yernited

Where did that come from?!! I have to admit the English who support Murray do my head in. Brainless, ignorant sheep they are.

Murray's opinion on England is clear, and as a result I have no time for him.

I can support the Scots when representing GB, but it is getting harder as they still point to there own flag rather than the UK. For example Hill, Hamilton flew the British flag. Coultard and McRae had the Scottish helmets. Their loyalties are clear to eveyone.

Its a typical British thing to adopt someone as their own when they are winners and then drop them when they aren't.
Examples when Lennox Lewis was heavy-weight champion of the world..He was British, now that he isn't he's Canadian.(He actually is Canadian and not British).
Barry McGuigan in 1985 when he won the title was British, when he lost the following year he was Irish. He actually is Irish because he's from Clones County Monaghan which in is the Republic of Ireland.Hence the nickname ''The Clones Cyclone''.
Then there is Denis Taylor,In 1985 when he won the Snooker World Championship..He was British, when he lost it..He was Irish. He's from County Derry,so he could be either.

Here's another example.Actor Aidan Quinn famous for his role in ''Song for a Raggy Boy'',was born in Birr Co_Offaly Republic of Ireland. He was raised in Chicago. He's American, not Irish.

It's because on 606 there were always a few Liverpool fans/wums who would infest other teams boards proclaiming Liverpool as future champions. Also with quite a few ex Liverpool players working as pundits they often tip Liverpool for great things (not necessarily trophies).

He was raised in London until he was 12 and then he moved to Canada. He holds both nationalities.

Owen Hargreaves was raised in Canada, but him and his family always regarded themselves as British expats.

And I don't think Murray has a problem with England. He just has a problem with American journalists calling him English.

Despite your selective arguement Pepe, your point about it being typical for British fans to drop people when they stop being successful is just laughable.

"it's a typical British thing" = basically means it's a opinion you have decided is fact. Sweeping generalisations are your fortay it seems.

You just don't seem to be able to grasp this.
