game on long odds results that only require one goal to happen thread. Been messing about betting 10p/20p/even 30p on matches that fall within the description of this thread title (in its extended form) way back since yeasterday and this "system" keeps on making money. Basically I'm looking at all live in-play football on Willliam Hill and when a given match gets into the late 60s in terms of minutes played, if there's a generous odds on a result (win, lose, draw) that only requires one goal to happen then I back it. By "generous" I'm looking for big odds: 10-1 or more often but 6-1 or even 4-1 are still good. I'm finding if I stick 5 punts on a equaliser or winner at 10-1, one will come good doubling my combined stake. Maybe beginners luck but maybe this is an obscure corner of the market where the bookies aren't too interested and could be exploited. Thoughts? If your max bet is 30p and a generous price is 10/1 if you hit 1 and lose say 4 that is only a £1.80p profit . You could easily rake in more than that if you get your detector out when the fair is in town, under the eggs ride is a good place or behind the seats on Waltzers.
In all seriousness it won't work mate. I see about 100 people a week try out various 'systems' and they do their dough in eventually (and I've worked for 5 years building Football models which spit out exactly the same odds as Hills, and believe me if there was a hole that obvious in them I'd know about it). If you're going to try something like this make sure you monitor the Betfair price - if the Betfair book is closed to 100% (it's usually about 101%) and you are getting 10/1 Hills when it is 9/1 Betfair then that's a good time to take the 10/1. Almost every time the Betfair price will be bigger than Hills price, after commission, which tells you all you need to know by itself.
Just stuck 20p on 1860 Munich to equalize at home to Fortuna Dusseldorf @ 11-1 with 30 minutes to go. This is like the Gold Rush days only there's plenty of gold for everyone.
OK, I'll write off that 20p, still about a tenner up on 10p/20p/ even 30p bets from last night, Mike running scared, all you need to know.
This must be the first time in history someone has come up with a water tight way to beat the bookies.
Mick's clearly rattled or he wouldn't be dissing the system. If it was a pile of ****e, he'd be telling you to go large.
