Sounds like a sure way to fall out with a mate! I'd bet him a pint of beer and be done with it. That say you can enjoy each others win.
Not sure how to get multiquote to work on here so I'll just respond this way. HR - Would be pretty amusing until sods law says we actually do get relegated and I am a large sum of money out of pocket. Schad - I'm not totally sure. We had a bet last season and it was for a few hundred. If I offer him 5/1 then he will just place the bet with a bookie at 7/1 so there is no point in doing that. I am siding more with just letting him place the bet at 7/1 with a bookie as I think the price is about right and don't see any value in offering more. DellBoy - Why's that? FLT - We have these kind of bets most seasons and it just provides a bit more excitment/banter between us, usually who ever wins ends up spending a fair chunk of the winnings on the other in the form of pints/a meal or something. We both are pretty competitive so just see it as more of a laugh.

Would love to see Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham all relegated!! Please!!! Find financial irregularities and send them down 3 divisions as a consequence. That´s my dream!! I suspect everyone here loves Pompey more than those three!!!!
Only joking? Think if one of my mates were to bet on Saints going down, I'd have to give him a darn good thrashing?
All I have to add to the North-South debate is The Fall banger - 'Hit The North'... www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzivmOQWkVQ
Offer him 7/1, take the cash off him (lets say £100) and bet as much as you dont want to risk losing back with the bookies. (You can get 15/2 with Corals)
No deal!!! Too many still glory in the United shirt and have naff all to do with the city of Manchester. Hope United's signings prove as brilliant as Fellaini last season.
Aston Villa slumped to a 4-1 defeat at Dutch side FC Groningen tonight. WBA look like they might have wasted a big fat wage on sick-note Lescott - injured already. Embracing others misfortune.com
Burnley, Palace and AN Other. Right now, I'm going one from Villa, WBA and Leicester. I'll throw Hull in there too if they reach the Europa League group stage (they still have one more qualifying round to go yet, right?).
Along with some bad calls, there's some good calls in this thread. Worth a look back on a windy night (if its not, it will be soon).
