I had a pint with a couple of everton lads after the game and they were sound, commented that the south stand was very loud and one of the best atmosphere's they had heard on there travels this season, also that they always look forward to this away day, very amicable, we agreed at the time that we were both unsure on the penner, and gomez x 2, needed to see them on the box, we agreed that howard should have been off though
A proper ground, like the one you used to have, until you got that souless bowl with the faded plastic seats.....
Bri, just heard Graham Poll on the radio talking about a penalty given in another game on Saturday, he said that if the ref judges it to be honest attempt to win the ball but the attacking player is fouled, the ref will give a penalty but does not have to send the player off who commits the foul even if it is an obvious goal scoring opportunity. My view of it from the east stand was Wickham got the ball because it flew to the left away from the tackle, when I watched the replays later, Coleman touched the ball to the left as Wickham tackled him so Mason could have thought, a penalty but Coleman had lost the ball so no sending off. It was a forwards tackle which cost us a couple of points but I don't think Wickham deserved a red card.
I always like an away to Sunderland. But some of the fans are a little....errrm, mardy at times. Like a bit of banter in the pub....Colliery?(never been inside the place? Always have a few in the tent outside to wash away curry and chips
Oh dear there's two now... at this rate of degeneration, I'd expect Scousers to be representing Team GB in the 2060 Olympics in all equestrian disciplines.
