I simply have to take the fav on now at Carlisle with Baltic Pathfinder. On a good mark although he is a better chaser. He's happy to race on heavy ground. Stable switch may buzz him up and i'd rather take 11/2 instead of 4/7.

Surely you can have an influence on that stick? As you say, heavy ground is tough for a fit horse, and can take a lot out of one that isn't tip Top -hope sense prevails for the long term!

You're not wrong there Boris. If China Club was half the horse they imagine it to be and worth that Derby entry it should have won that 3 lengths going away. On the positive side however JG need only run it once more and a horse with huge potential will start next season on a possibly very lenient mark. I am sure that was not the plan but may be a side benefit to the disappointment.
