Wooooooo! Game on, time to forget about the arsenal result

Making it clear from the start I won't be commenting as much as in the last two games as I'm busy with work! But I will do my best to get on and post as often as possible. Just don't go lynching me if I'm quiet during the day!

If we all chose to go with "no lynch", the heavy could force a innocent to vote another innocent off and therefore making the first innocent look guilty whilst protecting the Mafia. In hindsight, my no lynch vote isn't a wise move so I will be changing it once we establish a group tactic

It did say in the last thread that the person being lent on by the heavy can't say so until the following day.

Yeah, this no lynch thing doesn't really help in that respect.

To be honest, I'm not sure why anyone would use it unless it was just to force a tie (ie 4 votes each for 2 people and you didn't want to change anything, can just use no lynch instead of saying nothing, or voting for someone else randomly).

If it wasn't for the Mafia Heavy role, it could work in this opening round but that role means it achieves nothing and actually helps the Mafia.

 

Morning guys.......A new day, a new game of Mafia.

I'll just start by saying, i'm a townie with no role, which worked for me last time as I survived till the end.

What are we going to do about the free masons, they just gonna reveal who they are from the get go? If there are two of them, then if they both reveal themselves and confirm the other is a Free mason, we then have two people that we know are innocent. Rules two people out of any possible lynchings and also means we know we can trust them in terms of voting etc.

 

Any idea of what tactics we should try first day? Going for a vote per person, or putting a few people up for the chop?

 

Right I'm off to work, I've got the iPad with me so I should hopefully manage to post a couple of times during the day.

Incase I end up not getting back in time I want to have a vote on the table so I'll kick things off with a vote for gerrez

1. you know my views on what to do day 1. it is a lottery. therefore the best thing is to get 3/4 names up on a tie and see what happens. If one of those options is nolynch I'm fine with that too. The maths show you've a decent change of hitting a mafia is you have 3 or more names up at random. I say get 3/4 names up there and see what happens and who defends who or if nobody does anything. (except greez cos he's guilty always)

2. not sure why we are starting in on the masons. that's a powerful tool for the town to be protected not exposed. we have a cop. on day one the cop is a known innocent and all the mafia can do is try to kill sky and that has a risk to them. having one known innocent is a great thing. but having a little voting block of 2 masons as a powerful powerful tool. exposing it now would only allow the mafia do a conversion and ruin that. ergo... bod why push that? highly suspicious. (no i'm not really serious)

no necessarily, people like you are gerrez and such are far to good at pulling the wool over eyes. All a converted mason would need to is slyly poke the other mason towards an innocent and there you go. as long as they stay consistent with what they've discussed before... and of course just knowing what the others are saying to each other can help the mafia without ever tipping their hand.

as of today which is the day in question.... masons have a block of 2 votes. If tomorrow that changes fine... who knows. maybe then they can think baout such a reveal but for me I'd assess as each day goes and what they know.

The Freemasons should remain hidden. Revealing themselves now will just get them killed since the Mafia don't know who as what role amongst us townies.

Since my first vote was somewhat hasty and lacked insight, I'm going to change to BRB. Reason; he's going to vote for me anyway so I won't receive a unexpected revenge

Makes sense I guess, maybe wait until the Mafia have used up their kills and converts.
How many converts do they get? Is it just one?

 

The Freemasons should only reveal themselves once the assassinations / converts have been used or their is a obvious bigger target such as the journalist or vigilante. Of course, we don't want to lose them either so they should sticking to being anonymous.

For the record, I'm innocent. I don't think innocents should be declaring that they have no role either, if we all do that then it becomes easy for the Mafia to work who as roles, they just wouldn't know who is doing what.
