Sky seriously need to review their commentary if they are to grow F1. Crofty is so bad, he just cannot be the voice of F1. He is behind the action, incorrect, and infuriating all in one. I could handle him as a presenter if they went down that route but not as commentator. Would someone like Eddie Irvine be an interesting one alongside Brundle? It would be direct, to the point at least! Anyone else pleased to see Button comprehensively outdrive Magnussen this weekend? I know Jenson isn't quite Hamilton/Alonso, but he is a top class driver and to lose him when he still has so much left to give would be such a shame. Will anyone throw him a lifeline?
Tell me if I have got this wrong. If Rosberg wins in Abu Double then Hamilton has to finish 2nd to win the title. Under the normal points system, 5th would've been good enough. Yes?
He was better than Legard and Croft. Those two are clueless, Legard was awful in every way and Croft sounds like he should be on CBBC.
Correct. If Hamilton finished 6th they would tie on points- would Ham win via his greater number of victories? However, Hamilton needs a top 2 finish to wrap it up.
So Hamilton could lose out with a 10-5 winning score line. A DNF for him and Rosberg would need a top 5 finish. Mind you, his dad won the 1982 title with just the ONE win.
On the subject of Sky presenters, Simon Lazenby annoys me too, very smug and any time he gets bumped into on notebooks etc, he comes across as just a complete and utter dick. I don't think Irvine would work, he just says stuff to sound controversial but doesn't really say much of note, it would get wearing very quickly. Same goes for the likes of Jacques Villeneuve. Johnny Herbert is a total balloon, Damon Hill is just a boring "toe the party line". Brundle does a good job, as does DC on the BBC but neither are really "lead" commentators, though because of that, Brundle and DC worked IMO.
Glad this is nearly over. Hated watching a diva and a halfwit be gifted a title challenge. Was like something off CBBC immature twats. Hope one day we see people like Hulk and Ricciardo/Bottas up there. Short term Raikkonen in a competitive car for one last year would be my dream but its a long shot.
There's no way a German car makers works team will try to favour a German driver. Those damn Brembo's again *waves fist*
Don't mince your words EMSC, say it as you mean it. I think they should just skip the last race and decide it with dueling pistols.
I'll take my mind off it with some NASCAR. I've got $5 on Danica Patrick to be the next person to punch Brad Keselowski (Mike Wazowski).
You've been in a pissy mood ever since Schuey retired and Mercedes became properly competitive (coincidence with the driver change?) Get over it.
