Ok, you can stop with these sarcastic comments now. It was ****e and tedious to read when you first started doing it.
duh ! Arsene has gotta give him the default 75 minutes at least . Dont wanna affect the lads confidence . Thats more important than the points . Dont you know nuffink ?
Lol you are ranting and raving . I went past that stage about 2 seasons ago. Stick around long enough and you will give up on the ranting too. Dont rant and rave ,keep cool , just bide your time ............soon , the ball and chain at Arsenal will be gone.
you have one defender out and complaining ... hhhh try to have our luck in injuries at the back, did we ever played same back 4 this season? not to mention changing majority of team with a new manager , even Sir Alex couldn't had that magic touch at his first season, is never easy my advice is to concentrate on Arsenal and leave UTD
Not good enough. Really disappointed with the players today. We have some of the best attacking players in the league with Cazorla, ozil, Sanchez, Ramsey, Walcott, oxocube etc... And when our midfield and attack are able to play forward with pace they are more than capable of getting goals. But for god sake, when your 1-0 up in a cagey game, away from home and you've worked hard to keep things tight until you score, don't throw the kitchen sink at them and leave yourself wide open at the back. The space we left for them to counter when we were winning was ridiculous. Gibbs and chambers right up the pitch at the same time, flamini nowhere to be seen and only two players in our own half. It was just stupid. When we are playing well or winning it seems to go to the players heads and they all want to be the one getting forward, caution to the wind. We need to stop persisting with monreal at the back. He has had a few ok games there but he just isn't big enough, he is beaten far too easily in the air and it happens too frequently. I could see why after putting him in there wenger kept with it as with a few games under his belt and a settled backline we could of dealt with our injuries, but it hasn't worked and needs to be changed. And flamini just isn't in any sort of form this season, he's gone completely off the boil. I'd start playing a Ramsey-wilshere midfield two until Arteta is back and make both of them sit deep. And we need to put chambers in the middle and give bellerin a chance. From the first half it looked like we were playing very consciously to avoid conceding and so it's a real disappointment to see us throw it away due to leaving too much space to exploit after going a goal up. Oxocube worked really hard today and had some great runs but he didn't offer chambers enough cover defensively and his end product just isn't quite there. I'm pleased he is putting in better performances than last season though. I thought Swansea played rather cynically and the ref was inconsistent in what was a card and what wasn't. Which made it even more frustrating to watch. Welbeck did well to set up our goal and Cazorla played a few very good through balls. Overall really disappointed to have thrown this game away with poor defending again. We really need to sort it out before playing utd.
In fairness, he's reacting to your fans WUM'ing in this thread. So desperate to seek some solace from somewhere.
Agreed, we need to be a bit more defensive in nature due to our defensive injuries and lack of CB backup. Two deep lying midfielders would provide us with some more stability at the back and we need to know when to shut up shop and when to attack. Our strategy was once again lacking today.
Monreal is 5 10, nothing to do with being too small he just isnt a centre back, hes got a couple of inches on Mascherano who plays centre back effortlessly.
In the short term I think it'd be a better option to try than what we've been going with recently! Come January a CB and flamini replacement would go a long way to plugging the gaps in our squad. I don't think there's any one fix to our problems, I think there are a number of different things we can try and do and I think the manager and the players need to take responsibility!
I agree withthe size argument. I remember we played Sanga at CB and he played really well. He was smaller than Monreal and around the same as Masherano. One of the all time best CB Cannavaro was 5ft 9 and was normal sized, but he was very smart, had great awareness and great all-round game. Monreal just isn't that good period.
It's ok though, because if we can't buy the right players in the next window, we always have the summer one and that's when we really really need to buy the right players....
Very disappointing result that continues a very frustrating season, we're sadly going to have to put up with this as long as Wenger is in charge. Can't understand how anyone can still support and back Wenger.
