How is Shawcross not booked for that? Woeful.
    Another wasted corner.

Is the Spurs squad the football equivalent of the Tower of Babel ??
Is there no language a manager can speak to them to actually make them play
    basic football ??

Or are the players just taking the p*ss and completely disregarding the managers'
    instructions ??

How the hell is that a foul by Lamela on Shawcross? He jumped and the other bloke didn't.

Why commit a foul there, Rose? He's going nowhere. Stupid.

It's typical that, having addressed the problem we had last season of no cover at left back, this season our right back options so far have been Naughton or playing Dier out of position due to Walker's injury, Yedlin being unavailable until January at the earliest, and Fredericks being loaned to Middlesbrough.

Sadly our strikers don't have any injury problems, Adebayor merely plays like he has.

Adebayor with a great chance to do something there and he puts it wide. Done nothing else.

Another pathetic post-Europa performance, though our pre-Europa one wasn't much better.
We look a total shambles at the back and in front of the defence at the moment, we've got no width and no spirit.
The players don't look particularly bothered, barring one or two of them and there's no togetherness or overall tactical view.

Pochettino needs to do a lot of work over the international break to get the team out of this run, as we've been nicking wins and playing badly.
Our home form's appalling and some of our supposedly better players simply haven't turned up this season.

Do you mean why did he play so badly or how did he get hurt?
The latter is due to N'Zonzi, I think, kneeing him in the chest.

  12. Sorry HBIC- what is this mythical 'cover' at left back? We have the inadequate Rose as the supposed first choice for the PL and either the less than impressive Davies or the totally inept Naughton as cover.... Yedlin must be really looking forwards to joining us now <yikes>

Sounds similar to this glut of midfield 'talent' that we're meant to possess: the square root of f**k-all for the most part.....

Well, looks like Levy is going to maintain his perfect track record of picking duds. I didn't see today's game, but the result doesn't surprise me. In fact, I almost expected it - sad really, we haven't looked this bad in years.

  15. Not defending Ade by any means, but he was only on for 15 mins and - just as in most games this year, he has hardly had many chances to take. Today's was a difficult header with him surrounded by 4 Stoke defenders. He certainly hasn't covered himself in any glory (no s**t, Sherlock), but you have to look at what is being created behind him and that is very little.. Kane had two much easier chances today and bolloxed them both up...
The problems are more fundamental and stem from a porous and ponderous defence, a slow and soft midfield and no real width. The lack of any forward strength is just the icing on the top of this s**t Cake!

Masterstroke by the owners to crank up the music at extra volume to try and drown out the boos .
    What a carry on.

If we could sell any player in the squad for the price we paid for them how many would you not sell? I've got about 8 I can think of and that's being generous.

If we kept the receipts of all the players we've bought I'd recommend getting the money back on 70-odd percent of them.

It looks very, very bad right now. The players look lost, disheartened and there's not one player able to make simple passes on a regular basis. Never mind open up a team.

My opinion of Nacer Chadli's overall play has not really changed since I thought he looked a bit crap last season. And yet he'd be the first name on my team sheet now. Then I'd write down Lloris' name. Then I'd put the pen down and get myself a whisky.

12th in the table, bloody hell. Project Daniel - destroying the club from within while lining your own pocket is working well for the spiv.
