And if I had to judge you, and your style, I'd describe it as "barely literate".

Whilst it's true 90% of stuff I post is taking the piss, I never did like cushion face and I think an octopus could make a better manager by choosing his team/formation/tactics by picking labelled buckets of dead fish.

Does an octopus eat dead fish? I don't even know.

Look on the bright side, at least Cushionface isn't blockhead. A cabbage in an induced coma could make a better football manager than old blockhead.

It could be worse. There is not 1 single post on the Burnley board. NOT 1....
Since yesterday HULL CITY ' s board has about 1000 posts on different threads. They had a gate at Turf Moor of 16,000 +. Our board has around a 1000 posts per day over a 24 hr cycle. Evry day of the year. Burnley, known as the " family club" has had not 1 post, despite winning a game. And the Op of this thread is worrying as to who posts on here. I'd be thankful for small mercies really. Imagine for one second If No - one posted on this forum......regardless of who posts, I'd say we are pretty healthy

I a serious note I think SB is in need of a better assistant! Bruce ticks nearly all the boxes of a great manager but I think he could do with a little more help in his ear during a game! If you look at all the top coaches they were all very good no2s to other top managers! Just a thought.

Not every club's supporters use the not606 forum. Burnley fans haven't been on theirs in months. They use different ones.

The fickle, poodling, mongers of doom and gloom have been at it for weeks, with their constant sniping at several of our own players, and yesterday gave them the perfect opportunity to up the ante, and give them a sense of misplaced justification for the bile they've been stinking this board out with recently.

Yes, we were ****e yesterday; a very, very bad day at the office. However, it's the first genuinely poor league performance since Villa, yet all hell breaks loose on here.

Some of you moaning ****s should remember where we've come from and wind yer ****ing necks in.

[I"]The fickle, poodling, mongers of doom and gloom"

    Lovely ring to it .

Dead right though it was a poor performance worse than Villa. at least in the second half at Villa we made a game of it and looked to me to have them wobbling. Yesterdays performance was limp.
Yes they need sorting out. Yes Bruce knows this he is not blind or stupid. There are injury problems there is lack of form and confidence. Bruce has a decent honest bunch of players with character. The best we,ve ever had. They will do better. They will win and they will loose again
Yesterday will just make the next win that bit sweeter

I just think exceptions are ridiculous considering we're only in our second season back in Premier League.

Yesterday was ****e, Soton not much better. But we're very good against two top 4 teams.

We're going to be hit and miss. That's the nature of being in the Premier League.

We need a response against Spurs. A positive result and performance will help ease the frustration after yesterday. It was a poor performance and there should be questions asked of the squad but I think some people are getting a little too silly and pessimistic. A win against Spurs would make things look healthy again. We have a tough run of games coming up, but the matches are not impossible for us to get something from. If we're still struggling by the end of December, then I think people are justified to be concerned.

We've won 2 out of 11 games and sit 2 points off the bottom 3 with Spurs, Man Utd and Everton the next 3. We have a stronger squad than last season but we're struggling for wins so frustration is to be expected, particularly after letting various leads slip away, and not reaching the Europa group stage is still a big disappointment for many - after all, wasn't that loss supposed to make this part of the season easier?

The main issue people have at the moment is with Bruce's choices. With Dawson out it was an ideal time yesterday to use our array of attacking talent to take the game to Burnley but we kept them benched, played worse than I've seen in a long time and they didn't even need to bring a keeper with them. 352 struggles for a number of games but as soon as we sneak a 1-0 win or draw against a 'top' team it's seen as being the miracle formation, which we then stick with (and struggle with) for too many games afterwards. It has a time and a place but not week in, week out. The worry for many is that we're going to continue this way, putting out defensive sides that mix 1-0 losses with 0-0 draws. That makes for a very nervy (and dull) season looking at the bottom 3 constantly.

If we're not going to attack Burnley, with the worst record across all the football leagues before they beat us, who are we going to attack? Why even have so many attacking players if every time a centre back is injured we just use the next in line no matter what?

I think it's wrong to heap so much blame on the players when they were sold so staggeringly short by the man in charge.

    Good post Polly and correct.

I’m afraid you describe the vast majority of our fans.

The long haul fans (those old enough to have stuck with it through the 80s and the God awful 90s – not ones who went in the 60s/70s then ****ed off in the 80s/90s but now claim to have been going since the 60s) generally speaking, refrain from such behaviour though as I think the utter ****ness of the Dolan years grounded them (down) somewhat and paved a way for appreciation.

It’s quite fashionable to knock the long haul fans, as seen on here, but we also have the new kids who weren’t old enough to be there during those times but yet hold these values. Off the top of my head, I’m thinking of posters on here like Macca, PLT and Patches (sorry to the good juenge I’ve missed there) – all seem to have their hearts/heads in the right places when supporting City.

    So what does that prove?

Personally, it shows that age isn’t the issue in this matter, nor is the actual experience of the utterly **** times as I outlined above.

It basically just seems to be down to some sort of intelligence; an ability to rationalise, manage emotions and make realistic expectations balanced with levels of individual ****ery.

I didn't know Bruce told them to misplace passes and to keep passing the ball to each and not to run at the opposition, and not take a man on.
