Spurs look in shyte form, Stoke leading 2-0 at the Lane. Levy must be lining another mug up for the manager's job...

For the last 20 mins I've been watching Sunderland v Everton (HT 0-0) - compared to our exciting match this is pretty uninspired stuff. Yesterday I believe was a real turning point for our season as we actually looked like we could score at will (poor lad).

Just watched the Spurs highlights - they're defending like us in the early part of the season. If they can't turn this around in the 2nd half Levy will probably be formulating alternative managerial options. You wonder how much those Thurs Europa League games affect the team - can you imagine us playing with that schedule, as Fulham did quite well a few seasons back.

You wonder whether Joe Lewis, the Spurs owner, might be thinking of giving Levy the boot. Harry got them to the Champion's League and only missed out a second time because Chelsea won it. Levy must be culpable for making so many stupid decisions and having Baldini as Director of Football when he had a much better set-up with Harry...

Worcester City three divisions below Coventry lead 1-0 and have totally outplayed them, Coventry down to 10 men with their keeper sent off...

Spurs' biggest gamble yet: Daniel Levy risks his job over Mauricio Pochettino appointment

DANIEL LEVY may well have taken his final big gamble as Tottenham chairman last night

Mauricio Pochettino is Tottenham's 11th manager under Daniel Levy

Delusions of grandeur haunt the men running Tottenham Hotspur

Sacking Harry Redknapp will not solve Spurs' pressing need to generate enough revenue to compete with the elite

Levy could play the baddie in a Bond movie, or even an Austin Powers movie as his decisions have been pure comedy...

Just as spurs pull a goal back, 1-2...

Everton too, 1-1 now at Sunderland (penalty, where Wickham could have been red carded).

Newcastle 2-0 up at WBA - Pardew has really turned things around, new England wonder boy Berahino not on the scoresheet yet today.

Has Sparkie signed the new Messi? Stoke still 2-1 up.

    Bojan Krkic (6 mins)
What a way to score your first goal in the Premier League! Bojan - the boy from Barcelona - picks the ball up on halfway, cuts inside from the left wing and drives at the heart of the Spurs back four. They back off and allow him to shoot, and he takes full advantage! Low, hard and into the corner. Dream start for Stoke.

Spurs down to ten men, Naughton off...

Can Everton find a winner at Sunderland? That would help our cause...

Toon 2-0 up will push West Brom towards us...

Worcester now 2-0 up at 10 man Coventry, how they have fallen the past few years...

2-0 up now - Geddes again. Shades of Vauxhill Motors for Coventry?

Great stuff, I like the FA Cup, the potential for giantkillers, and remember back in the early 1960's when my home town Andover beat Hendon 4-3 but unfortunately lost 1-0 to Gillingham in the next round at the Walled Meadow.

Feature on the greatest night in Vauxhall Motors' history, when the Ellesmere Port club went to QPR for an FA Cup first round replay in November 2002 and won on penalties after a 1-1 draw. This followed a goalless draw in the original match at Chester's Deva Stadium. Vauxhall's team incidentally included future Premier League defender Danny Collins.

One of our lowest-ever points there against the Motormen...

Two former FA Cup winners facing home defeats by non-league opponents, Aldershot winning 2-1 at Portsmouth and Coventry still 2-0 down and down to ten men against Worcester, as you say Kilburn, the FA Cup is great stuff...

I remember, about 10 years ago, when my home town Basingstoke Town drew against Northampton Town at the Camrose in the cup, only to be denied a trip to (then Premier League) Leicester City, drawing again in the replay before losing on penalties!

Real passion and real football in the cup.

After coughing up 3 goals in Euro play this past week, getting pegged back to 3-3 at home, the "Specialist in Failure" continued his losing ways, 2-1 at Swansea after being 1-0 up late in the game, where the rain was just teeming down.

Not a good day for North London. This match also marked Little Tommy Carroll's first ever Premier League start for Swansea.
