As you can see I am happy as my beloved team are riding high in the league but no one has done as much as Liverpool and Brendan to help our cause. While you lot are struggling to even create chances let alone win games us Saints are going from strength to strength. 50m on Lovren Lallana and Lambert is incredible. Even more so when you consider the class we replaced them with. Alderwireld is so much better than Lovren it's silly, Dejan is making mistake after mistake at Liverpool while Toby and Fonte are producing such a solid partnership, Fonte has a new leash of life now he doesn't have to hold Livrens hand. Lallana again thank you for that, Tadic who we replaced him with is superb, he has already done better than Lallana ever has for us, one good season and you lot thought he was worth 24m. As for Lambert vs Pelle, ill save you the embarrassment with that one. Again thank you for signing our one season wonders because there replacements have put us 11 point's ahead of you and lets be honest it should be 17, you robbed us blind on day one. One more thing, Yoshida and Boruc are avalible for 20m each next summer, interested?
ffs, shouldn't you at least save this ****e for the end of the season first all you can currently say is you are doing well while others are playing by their standards ****e, well done on where you are, but staying there is the hard part
The same was said to Newcastle when you practically gave them 35m to sign Ba, Cisse and Cabaye who took Newcastle above Liverpool. We are better than that Newcastle team all over.
i am not for one minute saying you are ****e ffs, ok lets speak hypothetically as that's all we can currently do, what if we get our act together and somehow finish 4th ie cl spot which is our only realistic aim? and you dont do better than last season, is Lovren,Lallana etc still ****e and Tadic,Pele still the better players even though have nothing to show for it? i get you are currently happy with where your club is at, but no need for this crap, at least save it for the end of the season and if you are still above us then do a told you so.
I'm glad your lot are doing well but this is a bit much It's still very early days for both teams, by our standards we're underachieving and by yours you're over achieving. Different set-ups, expectations etc. but we're only 11 games in. You're by no means a bad team, and have improved every season since returning to PL, and credit to that I said on your match thread yesterday that I hope you finish in the CL, as you ARE capable. But the real tests are yet to come and that's when we'll see what your team is made off. Things can change very quickly in football. Interesting that you likened your team to Newcastle, as the season they finished above us they made a few threads like this one, for them to be in a relegation scrap and us getting a second place finish the following season.
Magic the difference between us and Newcastle is we have a solid base and more importantly a top manager. We saw with Spurs that you can challenge spending relitevely little, they were on the verge of something special but fecked it up. If we keep Koeman and our player's, finish top 6 and add further quality in our ranks, there's no reason we can't do an Athletico somewhere down the line. Ok we probably won't win the league, however Simeone has set a blueprint for fighting against money club's which many club's will now try to emulate.
You do have a solid base, but the most difficult fixtures you have been presented with is us and Spurs thus far, both who are in poor form anyhow. Not to say that you have to beat the top sides, as Arsenal got blitzed by all "bigger" teams last season, but it'll be interesting to see how Southampton respond to poor form, injuries etc. as that's almost inevitable in football. I do like Koeman, and you have added to your squad very well but as you're flying high opposing teams are going to change their systems to counter you, park the bus, kick your lads off the pitch etc. the PL is such a difficult league for any team, a lot can change very quickly. With all that said, I'm not at all ruling your lads out, you have an abundance of quality that much is true and I speak on behalf of a large amount of people when I say I want you to do well and finish as high as possible. My advice would be just enjoy the football, but take the bad with the good when it does come! Look at us now after the season we just had
exactly, could have said the same last season and look what happened. i hope saints do well and was one of many on here that thought it was a joke that saints was considered relegation candidates, i even said on our match thread against you lot that if that game was away we would have probably lost it. we have lost our 2 best players from last season, so of course we are not going to be as good, but we have seen how quickly things change in this game too many times to get cocky around nov time. enjoy the ride, will it last who knows, but bit early to be saying how ****e our ex players of yours are, and yours are wonderful

Have Saints played a good side yet? Get through the next couple of months worth of fixtures and I'll believe you can challenge for top four. We've seen many sides over the years have great starts only to fall away. Hope Saints can maintain it though, every football fan should.
The problem lies there mate. SouthAmpton are simply put - insignificant. If your manager and players do well. There'll be bigger clubs looking for their signature. If this Tadic and Alderwatever is as good as you say, We might probably throw in another 50mil which your club probably wouldn't refuse. Just enjoy you ****ing run mate, Most of us are happy for you lot, don't get too cocky now.
Good on Southampton, we, utd and arsenal bought a bunch of their players and they didn't really invest much back in. One word of warning is they have pretty much the same points total as this point last season and we all know what happened to them then. In addition, the next batch of fixtures for them are disastrous.
Lets see where saints are at the end of December, after 11 games last season Southampton had 22 points and after 17 games they had 24 GOODLUCK HAHA
