Having seen QPR compete so well at Stamford Bridge the week before I thought we would be in for a difficult night, not helped by the vile conditions which I felt was more likely to be a help to QPR on seeing that pellegrini had opted to leave out our warriors Zabaleta and Milner in favour of Nasri & Sagna.
The manager has played off our distinctly average form this season as a team lacking in confidence but it generally feels like its a team that are not willing to put it all in rather than anything else and I suspect Redknapp chose to have a real go at City because he felt we were there for the taking with such a soft underbelly, especially with our leader Kompany and inspiration Silva out injured.
So after QPR weathered some early pressure they grafted their way into the game to dominate and with a little more fortune could have gone into the break 2 or 3 goals ahead,Joe Hart being our best player by a distance.
Mike Dean was following the "big team" script as is the norm in the PL where the perceived little team gets the s**t end of the stick, how a game without a bad foul in it had half the QPR team in the book was anyone's guess and the general inconsistency in his decisions spoilt a really good open game that had a cup tie feel to it.
Overriding feeling was that QPR were the outstanding team and ran through brick walls for one another and Sergio Aguero was the oustanding individual,he's sheer class.A point apiece not a disaster to either side and must give QPR real hope that they can climb away from the drop zone and so long as they can replicate the passion and commitment when they play the teams in and around them, then climb away they should.
Liked the look of Vargas,he's a quality addition who had the beating of Clichy all day and Austin looks the part up front as well, troubled us all day

Good luck for the rest of the season

Cheers PPLF, glad to see that even City fans realised how biased the ref was towards your team, a really poor performance by all the officials. It's a disgrace how they get away with it every week

Did you enjoy your day out at LR - home crowd sounded amazing, what was the atmosphere like in the away end?

And that, dear friends, is the difference between City and the other big four or five Clubs. Their fans still have their feet on the ground because they can still remember what it was like being a "normal" Club up against the big boys.

More power to ye power

Cheers PPLF, it's good of you to come on here and post. I agree with what you've said, the ref nearly ruined a really good game of football. I hope that you soon amass enough points to overcome that lot down the road from here come the end of the season.

Highly unlikely sadly,I actually think we'll do well to be in the top 4 come May
Too many players in the squad are past their best and we need to bring some quality recruits in if we are to challenge again next year
I'd swap Navas with Vargas without question

    Cheers PPLF.

It was a pulsating game. Are your fans getting disillusioned with Pelligrini? That's the quietest away following I've ever heard from City.

Probably the oldest away following as well
Ticket prices are really affecting the away games and when the younger ones are getting priced out its noticeably affecting the atmosphere. We are cat A everywhere we go now and with CL games as well something has to give so £55 to go to QPR on a sat evening when it's on TV is an easy choice for some. Unlike the other big established clubs we don't have the tourist following to take up the slack so it's us old farts generally at the aways

I am wondering that too... We hate Chelsea, but got to admire the way the Chosen one has got them playing. Arry is doing a similar job on us (I cannot believe I have just written that!!!)
But Aguero aside, there is a slight lack of drive and commitment...I remember Toure hitting a shot really early on (probably the one that hit the girl) and turning and just ambling back, with his back to the goal....no chance of him, nipping in and pinching the ball from the kick scoring like Charlie did. Really uninterested.

Pelligrini also sat even more immotive than Arry, and that takes some doing

I am not impressed with Pelligrini, he cannot take you to the next level (CL success) in my humble...sorry PaulPower because I would really like to see you well both home and in Europe

I think the team would play with much more passion and energy if we had the same on the touchline
Take milner Zabaleta and kompany out and you take out the real passion and commitment, youre left with the likes of Clichy,Sagna,Nasri just no drive
We have a very good squad on paper but the reality is it's really just a very good 1st 11 but not a lot else

Cheers PPL, nice OP and respect your comments.
ive never had any problem with Citeh and player for player, they are onee of (if not) the best in the league.

Glad others outside QPR saw the refs decisions but cant blame just that. I hink your posts are spot on and it takes a good man to come onto our board and post as you have.- Well done and respect <ok>

Sorry, you aint having Charlie, Vargas or Isla....just yet ! Let us stay up for a couple of seasons and matbe then we'lll sell...

Personally, id rather see Citeh win the league over Chelsea but i think a couple of other teams may have a say this year..

Good luck mate & thanks <ok>

I think part of City's problem is that the new players that have been brought in are not up to the required standard and one or two of the old guard are just not cutting it. The team doesn't appear to be 'together', so despite their undoubted talent they aren't going to catch Chelsea this season. Major surgery is required starting with the manager, he doesn't appear to be able to 'fire up' the team and that is vital and some of his selections are odd, Clichy shouldn't be anywhere near the first team the way he's playing at present...

No one is going to catch Chelsea Sooper. They look like running away with it tbh.
