Tbh however poorly our players are playing right now (and actually they weren't that bad today but unlucky again as seems to be standard) I would rather have the likes of a Gary Hooper or a Jerome than a Daryl Murphy simply because when these guys play at their best they are a class above anybody Ipswich have on their team.

<laugh><laugh><laugh> What the budgerigar bubble has finally burst?! Well about f**king time!<grr>

You bird brain losers are without a doubt this season's Blackpool set to crash and burn after an implausible and freakishly good start! <bubbly>

Let's face it, if you're going to exit the Championship this season it'll be through the trap door since your promotion chances are the sum of naff all. <doh> Useless manager and a dysfunctional 'team' of individuals, it's Bryan Gunn all over again - and I frickin love it!:1980_boogie_down:

Just need the Binners to hit the skids as well now!<magic><cheers>

But for a side that were supposedly 'miles better' you've never been that far ahead of us in terms of points... Even when you lot where at your most optimistic (and vocal) so that clearly shows there really hasn't/isn't a great deal between the two sides, even for all your protestations <ok>

I seem to remember us Ipswich fans having a similar confidence a few years back the season after you came back up from league 1...

one suspects it was more to do with your truly awful performance in the Derby, a match in which city barely got out of 2nd gear yet should have won far more convincingly than the eventual scoreline. unfortunately we haven't got past 2nd gear all season and you've left reverse behind and gone into overdrive

We were top when we beat you lot and as Forest Watford and ourselves have shown that means very little other than points on the board at this stage.

At the time I contested that it wasn't a true reflection of where we were. It was as frustrating & disappointing a performance I've ever seen, simply because it was completely devoid of everything you'd expect from a McCarthy team <ok>

The fight & dogged determination has been back in abundance since that day.. and I doubt Mick will let them drop to the level of that day again this season <ok>

But what has hooper done over say murphs in english football?

The only difference is you paying a huge fee for him. And you can't really judge scottish football because to be fair its so poor its laughable.

That makes no sense we have a player that scored 22 goals in the Championship last season but as Supers says is lg1 standard at best. Hooper has done nothing for us and is rated 4th choice by Adams, he would rather bring on Lafferty to run around kicking people and get his yellow card. There is something very wrong with the Hooper situation.

Good god Mikey I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see you.

It was precisely when you stopped posting your predictions that our form went downhill. You are our lucky charm.

I have no doubt that they will.

I've been a season ticket holder for the last 8 years and I'm just not enjoying the way we're playing now - some good attacks, but very good crosses, resulting in even fewer attempts on goal.

What REALLY annoys me is the number of soft goals that we concede and that has been a real problem for us for years - we have only had 4 clean sheets this season. When we played Blackburn, on another day they could have been 3-0 up after 10 minutes and it was only due to poor finishing that they weren't. Somehow, we went on to win 3-1!!!!

Well I took last year on the chin CH's boring defend defend whoops mistake type football cost us our PL place and to be fair the table did not lie we were not good enough to stay up

Biggest issue for me with Adams is that he does not appear strong enough or adept to win around situations, yes Bassong took a swipe at him but a good manager would have challenged his best defender to work with him not throw his toys out the pram and kick him out ( yes I know Bassong can be a plank too) so we end up continually messing around with our back 4 when it should be Martin Turner Bassong Ollson week in week out so we continually make mistakes, don't see much change happening there.
And yet again this year we have no true leader on the pitch a situation we have had since Holty left, Russ is a great guy but no leader in the mould of GH.

Am resigned to the fact at best this will be a mid table finish season unless something good happens soon.

My season tickets will be up for grabs at the end of this term unless that turn around happens my boys loved the Lambo era and our first two years in the PL but the past 18 months have been too painful to be actually spending money on

´Fraid I´m just becoming more and more unenamoured each week, with Adams talking the talk, and then the team barely being able to crawl the crawl - a little bit more humility shown towards his opponents might be a good thing for him and for the team, as they then might not go out with this ´invincible´ tag on their shoulders. Our football should really be doing the talking, and then we´ll see soon enough, if we´re invincible or not.

Yesterday was quite possibly one of the most ridiculous situations Adams has been responsible for in his short (but already too long) tenure at the helm. Tactical naïvety at it's most glaringly obvious?
Not only has he sent Jacob Murphy and Elliott Bennett out on loan to Championship rivals, but to rub salt in the wound, despite having Josh Murphy and Nathan Redmond on the bench, Adams continues to play people like Lafferty and even Howson wide on the flanks?
So we're woefully short of natural pace and width and 50% of our available resources in that department are playing for other sides in this league?
Run that past me again, Neil......<doh>

Is it time to go and find the poll I made a couple of weeks ago?

I am guessing there has been quite a mood change since then (certainly appears to be)

I had to laugh at the interview he gave on the Football League show last night. He looks like a frightened rabbit caught in the headlights! Is it just me or does he sound exactly like Lee Mack!

I think the poor bastard needs putting out of his misery but please wait until the end of the season before you do it!
