1. Macgregor, and especially Dawson an Jelavic can't come back soon enough 2. 3-5-2 isn't working for us atm 3. Robertson is one of our star larkers and needs putting back in ASAP 4. Livermore + Huddlestone need to know they can't just turn up - time to start players like Quinny, Gaston, Meyler, Ben Arfa etc and give Jake/ Tom some motivation 5. It's always Burnley.
Quinny isn't good enough it's pointless brining him in when after twenty minutes all most people will be saying how **** he is
It's happened before with our formations. Lose a few games and we all want a return to a back four. We'll lose a few more and call for a back three. Same with dropping players. Yes, some deserve to be dropped after today, however if we drop everyone who had a poor performance then we would have no quality against Spurs. These last few games without Jelavic have been painful.
When did jake or tom last hit the target? Has gaston done anything yet? HBA was billed as the second coming I love Robertson even though is defensive positioning is dross Elmo still has it Davies has regressed Abel is lost? Eh. Last time I checked we paid 10 mill for him, yet he needs his hand holding? Aluko - headless chicken Diam brilliant but mysteriously disappeared in recent games Ugh
HBA showed glimpses today of what he can do, but playing with 10 men, for a tiring team, against a packed defence, must be challenging. Hernandez is lightweight. We need to accept that. Play him in and he looks good, but he'll never be able to play the role Bruce is currently asking him to. Diame was poor today but has been out best player since signing so there you go. Davies needs a rest and because of his own stupidity it looks like he's going to get one. Aluko - no more please. Robertson will now come back in. Hopefully the lost 6 points whilst Bruce played "the man in possession keeps the shirt" will not be costly at the end of the season. Either one or both of Huddleston and Livermore now need dropping.
Elmohamady and Livermore seem undroppable but they've both been terrible recently. Far too many people defending Elmo, he was bloody pedestrian today and is majorly at fault for the goal, just ball-watching. Our players are believing their own hype, need to get some passion and effort back into the team.
You forgot number 6...Most of our fans make ridiculous knee jerk reactions. People seem to forget it's still only our second season back in the Premier League.
Things we know - Clattenberg forgot his vanishing spray for the first two free kicks of the game. Such an amateur
The fact is; different formations work against different teams. 3-5-2 seems to work quite well against the bigger sides who like to play the ball around and play the game at a slower pace. 3-5-2 doesn't seem to work against sides who run around all day long and get in your faces and give you no time on the ball. We should be looking to change formation as and when we need to - do our homework on the opposition.
What's knee jerk about what I've said? How about, no.7, a supporter can't say owt without some **** saying hes kneejerk?
Where have I said you've said anything knee jerk? In fact I agree with what you've said. I've read some of ludicrous, stupid and baffling reactions to the game. A few weeks after draws against Liverpool and Arsenal people where talking about a top 10 finish and now people are saying Bruce is lacking motivation, is tactically inept and we'll be in the bottom three in a few weeks.
I don't understand how people's opinions can change so drastically in such a short space of time. I know we've been poor in the last couple of games, but nature of being in Premier League. If were not at least 90% we're going to get beat.
Why do some fans think we have to use the same formation for the entire season? I don't know if you're aware of this, but you're supposed to alter your tactics when you play because, well, different teams play differently. You play 3-5-2 against some teams and it works, and sometimes it won't so you change the formation and tactics to combat the opposition. Unfortunately, Bruce has a similar attitude to yours, and he thinks we should play only one formation for the entire season; he'll only change it when it becomes stupidly apparent that things aren't working. He'll probably play 3-5-2 against Spurs. I like him as a manager, but his stubbornness knows no limits. It's extremely frustrating when the problems are there for all to see, yet he refuses to alter his tactics.
Here's another one: Vergini 12′ (og) Pellè 18′, 69′ Cork 37′ Bridcutt 63′ (og) Tadic 78′ Wanyama 79′ van Aanholt 86′ (og) .
