Arsenal and Chelsea will make the last 8 at least.

If it's more than two or three sentences then it's automatically considered a full beel. Numerous paragraphs suggest incandescent rage.

This English golden age that you speak of,even in scousers heyday was made up of English,Irish,Scottish and Welsh till UEFA changed the rules and 3 became foreigners and the other became ****e.If memory serves me I think Celtic won the cup with 11 Scots starting the match which was even rare that far back.

Why do people think I'm talking about English players? I'm talking about English clubs in Europe and the 7 wins during late 70s/early 80s was indeed a golden age.

English clubs had pick of all British Isles players without restriction ie 5 countries whereas European clubs were restricted in their transfers. The likes of Hagi and Stoichkov had to jump the wall to play in Europe.Madrid won 5 in a row (I think) with mainly Spanish players. That's not to take away the feats of Forest,Villa and scousers but the set up was different those days which helped English teams. The Italians had restrictions in late 80's early 90's but didn't stop them dominating.
All in all don't know what I'm talking about.

Jermaine Defoe at 31 is coming from a Canadian team in the MLS & going to a team in the bottom 3 of the EPL for 90k a week.

There's the root of the problem in English fitba; giving fuds like Redknapp obscene amounts of money to spunk on old overrated mince.

I reckon Defoe still has goals in him at any level, for another season or three.

You're right about obscene amounts of money though. Which begs the question, what are the Canucks paying him?

Harry's dog will take 30% of the fee in her Monaco bank account no doubt. Crouch will probably go too .

The last ten minutes have been a golden age for England... In rugby terms anyway.

Sure is - and now we need to make that extra man count.

England aren't doing anything with the extra man but NZ have made a balls of a couple of chances. England will be a huge threat next year.

Making too many silly little errors under pressure unfortunately.

Yeah, the pressure leads to stupid penalties but this game will really stand to them in the future.

That was a good try there. 22 phases in pishy rain is some going.
