Well done to Grant. I always like him and he wasn't afraid to shoot, doing really well at the Boro and scoring loads of goals. According to RK's book he used to go off on one in the dressing room but no one could understand him, obviously RK loved that. Would you have him back? I know it's a different division he is playing in now but he never looked out of place to me in the higher league.

Liked him a lot (great goal at Southampton one year), but he's history now...

Well I would have to agree that he is history but I still think it was a mistake to let him go. especially if you compare him with someone, like say, Bridcutt. He was still a young un when we let him go Sid , to me it was a mistake but never mind I suppose.

Aye. Stoke seemed to get a lot of ours before they should have left. I thought we should have kept Dean Whitehead too.

I'm surprised that he hasn't been snapped up by any promoted teams over the past few years. I'd have thought he would have had another crack at the Premier League by now! He might get there with Boro this season!

Well done to the lad but I wouldn't have him back. Of this spell's premier League stretch I'd have back Gyan, Cana and Hendo. No other permanent signing i'd have back.

He is a very good player who should be given another chance

I doubt that will be with us

I would rather have him than seb or bridcutt though

I was disappointed when we sold Leadbitter who I thought was a good attacking midfielder.
I can't say the same for Whitehead mind who looked to be on the way down when we sold him.

Well done Grant, he's a very good Championship player , but I think he showed he wasn't up to the Premiership when he was with us.

P.s- You can't compare him to Bridcutt, he's a complete different player. Bridcutts a holding midfielder.

Leadbitter is a better player than Bridcutt to me, he will have to get his finger out and the same goes to Rodwell. Cracking game tomorrow Boro vs Bournemouth !, Amazing season for them. And our match is not televised on sunday by the way, but why a 1.30 pm kick off ? I wanted to watch the WBA vs Newcastle match but will be at the SOL.

Did you know that Grant Leadbitter is an anagram of Beel Trading Tart?

    Just saying...

The only player we've sold recently that has had a serious effect is Bent. All others were replaceable IMO.

Was delighted we sold Hendo for that money. He looks a much better player when playing with Suarez, Gerrard, Sturridge etc than he ever was or could've been with us.

Gyan another possibly but really only Bent has been disastrous.

Love to see Grant and Boro in the Premiership next season along with us and Newcastle, three teams in the top flight would be good for the region.

What about Loric Cana? Better than Catts and I'm a big Catts fan. But you mirror my sentiments marra, My eyes get rolling when people pipe up about letting Fraiser go.

I like both too, one thing that has been a hallmark of Catt's game is that he's consistently good to better than good. Cana could really impose himself on games, except Cattermole does it more often and is therefore more instrumental and effective <ok>

    Pity about the ban mind.

I'm surprised one of the London teams haven't snapped him up.

Don't care - from what I've seen of both in a Sunderland shirt, I'd still take Cattermole
