Okay, so we're probably going to do a PledgeMusic crowdfunding thing for Fable in order to fund the rest of the album recording and a supporting tour. Just thinking of the things fans might like to have as options to buy - let me know any more you can think of (keep it clean if possible!)

    CD
    Vinyl
    Signed versions of the above
    Handwritten lyric sheets
    Prints/originals of her artwork
A thank you name check on the album sleeve
Backstage VIP tickets for the tour
    Phone call from Fable
    Skype video call from Fable
Signed drum sticks from band (and her)
    Private live show

Anyone watch that mini-series The Passing Bells? I haven't been though saw the last episode but the ending was very moving. On Armistace Day, a German and a British soldier crawl into no-man's land (one to repair some barbed wire and one to cut some I think) and they meet each other. After a few moments pause, they fight and one stabs one as the other shoots him. They lie in the middle of no-man's land and as they are dying, the German soldier (I think) reaches out and grabs the hand of the British soldier who holds back, and they hold hands as they pass away. So moving.

    £20m for that tripe.

definitely belongs in the "i don't want to live on this planet any more" category of this thread.

19-Yr-old Turkish girl dies with IS.

What is this madness about? Reminds me of the Children's Crusade when children followed the Crusaders to Jerusalem to achieve martyrdom, but the children then had no idea what they were going to and probably weren't leaving good homes. This is quite frankly ridiculous.

Religion has been making people do crazy thing for thousands of years.

But in general Christians have moved on and are tolerant of others. The Koran preaches tolerances, but in the Middle East, they act like it is still mediaeval times. Religion has been used as an excuse for millennia, but if it wasn't that it would be race or anything that makes people different.

Just watched a bit of the Lord Mayor's Show on BBC1. Interviewers bobbing about talking to various entrants and people in the crowd. Lovely for those people, but I preferred the more informative coverage of Richard Dimbleby (showing my age there). The BBC ruined the Queen's Jubilee by forgetting that their primary purpose is to inform.

Although I have long since given up watching and listening to Royal events, I must admit, commentators like Dimbleby and especially the late Tom Fleming gave them a fair bit of dignity.

I do love learning bits of random history. The City Company of Paviers are parading a high inflatable pig, because their job which dates from mediaeval times was to keep the London streets free of loose pigs (which people kept in their houses). Also all roads in the City are 'streets' because the word 'road' implies that you are going somewhere and as London was the centre of the universe it is a destination rather than where you set off from. :)

My stepson's just been given a job in LA assisting Lana Del Ray's songwriter! How cool is that?
