either the surgeon didnt do a good job lobbing off the leg the first time or he had 2 right pegs ,

 

I think he was just wrong footed.

Is it worse to have had it all and lost it, or to have never had it at all?

just goes to show you that when the money is rolling in, put some away.
even if he put 10% of that wage into savings. He would have saved up $20,000 a week. He now lives in Mississippi, which is the poorest state in whole of US.
