Did Ki say his "goodbyes" when he went on loan to Sunderland. I don't think he did .... so why therefore would Michu.
He would Dai, but the sad fact is that he has only scored two goals since May 2013 in barely 20 appearances.
But 'fit' means physically and mentally. Sadly I think the guy has major issues. Hope he puts them behind him and makes a comeback.
Well if it is a psychiatrist I hope that person tells him to wise up or sod off elsewhere. He's a pro footballer on 30-50 grand a week, no need to treat him with kid gloves if that's the case.
Reported July 2013 Slight knee problem in Holland - not thought to be an injury. November 2013 âHe has not been at his best but that is because he has been struggling with both his knees for many weeks, but he wanted to play. âWith this ankle injury, hopefully he can get both his knees sorted as well. He will be away in Spain for a few days for some injections.â Operation on ankle Then reported he needed ankle surgery in Dec. Jan 14 'The problems heâs endured have been âlong-standing,â says manager Michael Laudrup. âItâs not good news,â he said of the surgery.' ... 'âHis ankle gets inflamed and it hurts,â Laudrup explained to the UK Mirror. Even just walking is painful for Michu.' & Curtis told the BBC News, adding that surgery was inevitable for Michu. âItâs something that needed to happen, because heâs been struggling with his knees and his ankles. Itâs interrupted his training and heâs missed a fair chunk of game-time this year. So weâve missed him.â Feb 14 Delayed return - ankle surgery recovery set back Only played a few games after surgery but was always not quite recovered. A BBC report about Michu's injury went on to talk about reasons for his symptoms and I believe that was the first mention of arthritis which grabbed the attention of fans and later, in some quarters, became 'the reason' for his absence. Mental problems resulting from his head injury and suggestions of bipolar disorder are fan speculation.
I said some time ago that Michu's behaviour on the pitch - screaming in the faces of opponents for example - told me that he has a problem. It went beyond being fired up for me. I hope he gets the help he needs and that probaby means counselling of some kind as well as the ankle problem.
This is the problem about michu, none of us know if he has recovered from his off field problems, we know he has had surgery on his ankle and it was a success but its his mental state that our medics need to find out about, I can see a positive from michu here that he wants to speak to monk and jinx about his future and i cant say how that outcome will happen until the club makes an announcement. Im hoping it will turn out as business as usual for michu and he can rediscover his form that saw him as one of the best players we have seen at the liberty. If monk and co say he is not fit mentally or physically then we should let him go but i hope for michu's sake that wont be the case....
