    The team was:

Norman, Elworthy, Adebayo, Sheckleford, Edun, Nabay, Kait, De La Torre, Adeniran (Humphrys 58), Walker (Fossey 79), Redford

”After an even opening 30 minutes, Fulham went in front on the stroke of half-time when Dennis Adeniran cut in from the right and curled a left-footed effort into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Kevin Keen’s side began the second half brightly, with Luca De La Torre making a couple of threatening runs. And it was 2-0 to the Whites in the 57th minute, Josh Walker coolly converting from the penalty spot after Adeniran had been fouled in the box.

Foday Nabay spurned a good chance to make it 3-0 after fine work by De La Torre and substitute Stephen Humphrys. Good interplay between DJ Buffonge and Humphrys then set up Aaron Redford but the striker couldn’t get a connection on his shot. Humphrys then hit bar and Buffonge missed a decent chance.

But it was 3-0 in the 86th minute. Excellent work by Redford down the left saw him find Stevie Humphrys whose shot took a deflection and beat the Reading keeper.

Reading pulled one back almost immediately after a mistake by Elijah Adebayo but Fulham held on for the victory.”

    Aston Villa 0 Fulham 0 (U18s)

Edit: A truly pathetic report from the Club; not even reporting the team line-up

"The Whites had the better of the early exchanges and a training-ground free-kick routine resulted in Foday Nabay almost opening the scoring.

Lucas De La Torre came closest to giving Kevin Keen's side the lead after the interval, his powerful header was scrambled off the goalline following some last-ditch defending.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, Elijah Adebayo was shown a red card but, despite playing out the final stages with ten men, the deadlock remaining and the points were shared"

Will try to find out more detail.

    Norwich 1 Fulham 2 (U18s)

Great a way win today for our young lionhearts. The team was:

Norman; Elworthy, Adebayo, Sheckleford, Edun; Nabay, Kait, De La Torre, Buffonge (Walker 46); Redford (Shamsi 48), Humphrys (Adeniran 79).

Again a rather brief account from the Club:

”Goals from Aaron Redford and Mattias Kait earned Fulham’s Under-18s a 2-1 win at Norwich City on Saturday.

Redford put the Whites in front inside the opening two minutes with a low shot into the bottom corner after Kait had won the ball in midfield and found Stephen Humphrys.

And it was 2-0 in the 35th minute, Kait racing onto DJ Buffonge’s ball behind the Norwich full-back and drilling an effort into the corner of the net.
Norwich pulled one back three minutes before the break when Todd Cantwell scored with a deflected shot.

In an open second half, both teams squandered good opportunities with Under-18s boss Kevin Keen stating: “It was to and fro in the second half and could have ended up any kind of score but we held on for the win.”

    Fulham 2 Arsenal 3 (U18s)

No team line-ups and again very little feedback from the Club:

”Fulham Under-18s were not able to convert a two-goal lead as Arsenal came back to snatch victory.

Kevin Keen's side started well and Stevie Humphrys opened the scoring, his strike cannoning in off the post.

Humphrys then turned provider as Josh Walker put the Whites two goals in front at the interval.

Luca Della Torre's shot rebound back off the upright but a vastly improved second half by the visitors saw the Gunners clinch a 3-2 win, with Kaylen Hinds netting twice.”

    Fulham 1 West Brom 0 (U18s)

    The team was:

Norman; Elworthy, Sheckleford, Adebayo, Edun; Adeniran, Smile, Nabay, Kait; Walker, Humphrys

"Fulham Under-18s tasted victory at a rain-drenched Motspur Park as Dennis Adeniran's goal was enough to defeat West Bromwich Albion.

The Whites got off the perfect start on a slick pitch, with Tayo Edun and Josh Walker combining excellently to provide the simplest of finishes for Adeniran to open the scoring. Kevin Keen's team went into the interval ahead but were given a scare just before half-time, as a Baggies effort rattled the frame of Magnus Norman's goal.

The Whites had their goalkeeper to thank in the second half, when Norman's point-blank save late on helping Fulham hold on to the clean sheet and clinch all three points."

    Southampton 4 Fulham 0 (U18s)

Disappointing day for the youngsters. The team was:

Magnus Norman, Shane Elworthy, Adetayo Edyn (Ravin Shamsi 70), Elijah Adebayo, Ryheem Sheckleford (c), Foday Nabay, Joshua Smile (Marlon Fossey 70), Lucas De La Torre (Dennis Adeniran 70), Mattias Kait, Stephen Humphreys Josh James Walker.

Unused subs: Taye Ashby-Hammond, Darren Junior Buffonge.

Here’s the match report from the opposition camp:

” A Marcus Barnes hat-trick ensured Saints Under-18s cruised to a resounding 4-0 win over Fulham at Staplewood on Saturday morning. The striker’s header and two close-range finishes, coupled with a well-guided nod from Callum Slattery, sealed a comfortable win for the hosts – their first of the season.

Southampton began brightly, Josh Sims cutting inside from the left flank in the third minute to hit a fizzing, 20-yard effort that rose narrowly above the crossbar. Fulham threatened to open the scoring themselves in an eventful start to the game when Lucas De La Torre slid through for Stephen Humphreys, whose shot was parried by Harry Isted.

The Cottagers were made to rue a failure to convert the more inviting chance as Barnes chalked a first in the 11th minute. The striker rose well to meet Harley Willard’s corner and nod home at the near post. The tempo slowed somewhat, with neither side troubling the opposition too much – Armani Little resorting to a speculative, prevented 30-yard shot shortly after the half-hour point highlighted that.

The restart brought a much fiercer tempo once again as Mattias Kait looked to level with a low shot that was dragged narrowly beyond Isted’s far post after the former had surged into the area. Reminiscent of the manner in which Saints’ first goal came, a second came off the back of another Fulham chance as Josh Debayo’s cross was met with a Slattery header into the near corner.

The visitors were nearly victims of another headed goal on the hour mark but they managed to get in the way of Niall Mason’s back-post attempt, only to see Barnes tuck in a deflected rebound. The striker was denied his third when a clever Slattery flick opened space for him to hit a shot that came off the leg of a sliding challenge, sending it curling inches around the post in agonising fashion. Barnes was then afforded a glorious opportunity to complete his hat-trick soon after when Fulham cheaply surrendered possession to Sims, who pulled back for Saints’ number-nine to slot in from close range."

    Fulham 3 West Ham 1 (U18s)

Fantastic win for the lads this morning. The team was:

Norman; Sheckleford, Opoku, Adebayo, Edun; Nabay, De La Torre, Adeniran, Kait; Walker, Humphrys

Unused subs: Elworthy, Ashby-Hammond, Shamsi, Fossey, Buffonge

"After a high tempo start to proceedings, it was the East Londoners who were presented with the first real opening when they were awarded a penalty when Ryheem Sheckleford was adjudged to have fouled Decarrey Sheriff. It was a contentious decision and justice was perhaps done when Magnus Norman kept out the subsequent 12-yard effort from Jerry Amoo.

That miss proved costly as Fulham went up the other end to score moments later. Following a corner the ball fell to feet of Elijah Adebayo who lashed home. It could have been two going into the break after Luca De La Torre showed a real touch of class to beat two men in the area before firing in a decent strike that goalkeeper Sam Howes did well to save at his near post.

The end-to-end nature of the game continued after the restart and so the next goal was going to prove crucial, and it was the Whites who got it as Josh Walker showed great composure to cut the ball back to beat his man before bending his shot into the net.

And he went from scorer to provider for Fulham’s third as a great twisting run culminated in him finding his strike partner Stevie Humphrys who slotted home for 3-0.

West Ham secured a consolation goal in the closing stages after another foul on Sheriff – it was again innocuous – but this time Alex Pike provided the finish."

Shek has great promise. He's still a kid and has lots of growing to do (as well as mental maturity). His attitude, effort, flexibility and skill indicate a future gem.

    Charlton 1 Fulham 1 (U18s) (Friendly)

Because of the U16 PL Tournament our planned League game against Chelsea was postponed and this match at Sparrow Lane arranged. Yet again no information at all from the Club but here is the Charlton report:

”The organised young Addicks dominated most of the proceedings despite being caught out by a counter-attack and falling behind after 20 minutes. The deserved equaliser came from the penalty spot five minutes before the break when Joshua Umerah was hauled down, and the striker dusted himself off to dispatch his spot-kick to make it 1-1.

With Charlton continuing to dominate possession after the break, they could rightfully be disappointed not to secure victory over their west London counterparts but missed chances to do so, most notably when Adomola Lookman steamed into the box, beating one defender before he missed the target with just the goalkeeper to beat.

But despite having to settle for a draw, Professional Development Coach Sergei Baltacha (U17-U18) was delighted with his young side’s showing in New Eltham.

“They’re a category one side so we expected a tough game,” he explained. “They are a very good side so it was interesting to see how the boys would approach it. They did themselves proud against a very good side.” He continued: “In the second half we dominated possession and had all the chances. We managed to prevent them from having any real chances in the second half and we would have deserved to win it.”

    Fulham 2 Tottenham 3 (U18s)

A battling performance from the youngsters. The team was:

Rodak, Sheckleford, Adebayo, Opoku (Shamsi 53), Elworthy, Adeniran (Roberts 73), Smile, Buffonge, Edun, Trialist (Fossey 66), Walker.

Josh Walker after just five minutes, the striker firing home the rebound against his former club after an initial shot had been parried. And he got a second in the 77th minute with a cool finish after substitutes Ravin Shamsi and Marlon Fossey had combined to tee up their teammate. Despite great efforts from Marlon Fossey in the last 10 minutes, the team just couldn’t find the equaliser.

Here is the video clip of the goals -

FA Youth Cup - 3rd Round Draw

We've got an away tie to the winner of the second round tie between Crewe Alexandra and York City.

The Alex are due to take on the Minstermen before the 22nd November, with our game then to take place before 20th December.

Fulham U18s were of course last year's beaten finalists and although the team squad is completely different results so far this season suggest that we have enough quality to progress fairly far in the competition.

    Leicester 5 Fulham 0 (U18s)

    Oh dear!

    The team was:

Norman, Elworthy, Adebayo, Opoku, Edun, Shamsi (Adeniran 65), Smile, Kait, De La Torre, Humphrys (Buffonge 80), Walker

”The Whites fell behind in the 25th minute after a contentious goal which looked offside and the hosts doubled their advantage soon after when a ball over the top caught the Fulham defence flat-footed.

It was 3-0 five minutes before the break when a cross into the box found a Leicester player who lifted it over Magnus Norman.

Fulham pressed hard to get back into the game after the restart but were hit on the counter-attack as Leicester broke to make it 4-0 in the 75th minute. And the Foxes added a fifth in similar fashion just before the end with another quick breakaway.”

I was at the U16 game on pitch opposite..great peformance from the boys who won 4-1 ..probably the scoreline flattered but definitely worth the win..then went and saw the 18's for last 20 mins or so..horrible conditions but to be fair Leicester looked stronger although 2 of the goals came as Fulham pressed for a goal..
