Quite well written actually and what I was saying all along yesterday, Cellino wrongly assumed the papers would be signed, there was never any intention of that happening unless we were sitting top of the table. You can't blame GFH though, we are sitting far too close to the wrong end of the table, would you gamble £6m on us getting promoted to the PL I certainly wouldn't. £6m in the bank next month or waiver it and get more IF we manage promotion.
Eire, good article. By Cellino dipping his hand in his pocket, and buying back Elland Road, it adds lots of value to GFH's 25% stake in the club. Why should he? I'm amazed his lawyers didn't have clauses in place for such events
I did question and point out what happens on here in regards to GFH if Cellino purchases the ground when he first made the promise. A couple of regular posters pointed out that the current club value would be taken as a snap shot, I will see if I can find the thread
Good to know that we are aiming to stay in the championship. It raises two questions. In what circumstances would we aim to get relegated? ( I can think of one). If you were trying to get relegated what would you do differently if you were Cellino? (Struggling to think of much).
Suppose being realistic, with a third of season gone and two points off relegation, its fair to say our target has to be to stay in the Championship now. Its all we have to play for
On the other hand, by not progressing as promised this season what happens to the value of GFHs holding. Are theyfinancially strong enough to cope if the value falls substantially. If we go down, how much less will Cellino have to find to buy them out? Conspiracy theory or rich mans poker but it is vaguely plausible That our resident nutter is gambling our future against his wealth.
Whatever people think of Cellino, i'd have him over the conmen who call themselves GFH-C. Hopefully we can lose both of them in the near future.
Fair point and Im thinking if it meant getting rid of gfh, Id nearly stomach another year in League 1. Of course, no guarantee wed get back out of it
Simon Austin has been Cellino's PR man from day 1 - Has reported all of the good stuff, but all of a sudden he seems to be sitting on the fence. Cellino's beeb very clever up till now when putting his PR machine in motion.
Get a fiver on spinning cobblers ( I didn't suggest it to you because of its apt name) in the first race at Wolverhampton, you might want to double it with bush beauty in the second. Not great prices but there is some value.
