With forward thinking all inclusive and outstandingly fair policies like these it's no wonder the capitalist money grabbing Yanks wanted him gone. 1. In Libya a home is considered a natural human right. 2. Education and medical treatment were all free. 3. Gaddafi carried out the worlds largest irrigation project. 4. It was free to start a farming business. 5. A bursary was given to mothers with newborn babies. 6. Electricity was free. 7. Cheap petrol 8. Gaddafi raised the level of education. 9. Libya had It’s own state bank. 10. The gold dinar=Massive boost to African enonomy I'd vote for him tomorrow if has was a British politician (and not already dead)
The problem was he wanted to sell oil in gold instead of the current deal where you have to exchange gold for US $ then buy oil. The Americans only stopped printing worthless notes from the Fed Reserve last week . He may have had a rubbish plastic surgeon but as Gas said great policies .
One of the same reasons the Yanks wanted Sadam gone from Iraq. Good 'ol Saddam wanted to trade barrels of oil in Euros which would have been a disaster for the Yankee dollar.
Went much further than his own domestic oil, he was threatening the Western exploitation of almost the entire African continent's resources through actively strengthening links between members of the African Union and lobbying for the creation and use of gold backed Dinars by all states as a single currency. With America's $17tn, and rising, debt only supported by the strength of the dollar as a safe haven investment, trillions of dollar holdings of many African countries would be dumped on the market almost overnight (Quantitative Easing on steroids as far as the Federal Reserve would be concerned), the dollar would plummet to almost junk. Libya also released some of its sizeable reserves to the Union to romove the continent's reliance on the World Bank to fund a programme to install a satellite communications system for the continent, which World Bank was very hesitant to do given the obvious repercussions on the ability of the west to exert hegemony over the continent. I really despair for the intelligence of the general public after such falsifications like 'hired mercenaries on drugs committing mass rape' and 'fighter jets firing on peaceful demonstrators' utilised as an excuse to get public legitimacy for intervention because their precious rebels were getting an ass kicking all the way back to Benghazi. As in Syria the first people to be killed in this conflict were the official security forces. Not even mentioning how the "no-fly zone" was then illegally turned into a quasi-air force for the rebels. And they wonder why Russia and China are so uncooperative in the UNSC these days?
It's all the bitter truth, politically and socially we in the West have been barking up the wrong tree for generations.
