Surely not! Heading into the weekend's fixtures you would be hard pushed to find a team in worse form than Leeds, enduring a run of 8 games without a win. However, bottom of the table Blackpool are in similarly dire form (well, slightly worse actually) and the seasiders have only tasted victory once in their last 17 league outings. New manager Lee Clark (contender the for what the hell were you thinking taking that job? award) was launched into a club in absolute turmoil having only picked up 1 win this season. He managed a draw at fellow strugglers Fulham, but will continue his search for victory at Elland Road on Saturday. Redfearn is also searching for his first win (of this stint) after Leeds twice let a lead slip to draw 2-2 with a Charlton side who looked decidedly average. If Leeds lose this one, the fans will have valid concerns about the clubs place in this league next season. Historically this has always been close, with the spoils shared fairly evenly. Leeds enjoyed a win last time out, and Blackpool haven't taken all 3 points in this fixture for the last 3 games. That will placate Leeds fans somewhat, but the confidence to see the result out on the field is what counts. A lot is at stake for both of these teams, and this one could be cagey. Leeds Wins 16 Draws 13 Blackpool Wins 14

Leeds Form Blackpool Form Last Meeting

D 2 - 2 Charlton

L 3 - 1 Cardiff

L 1 - 2 Wolves

D 1 - 1 Norwich

L 2 - 1 Rotherham

Fulham 2 - 2 D

Ipswich 0 - 2 L

Reading 3 - 0 L

Derby 0 - 1 L

Huddersfield 4 - 2 L

 2 - 0 Leeds Win Elland Road 12/04/14

Leeds 17th (W4 D5 L7) -6 Goals 17pts Blackpool 24th (W1 D4 L11) -16 Goals 7pts

Leeds Top Scorers

Mirco Antenucci 4

Alex Mowatt 4

Souleymane Doukara 3

Blackpool Top Scorers

Nathan Delfouneso 2

Ishmael Miller 2

Francois Zoko 1

Team News Damned's Starting XI

Leeds please log in to view this image Giuseppi Bellusci (Suspended) please log in to view this image Billy Sharp (Doubtful) please log in to view this image Rudy Austin (Doubtful) Leeds could make a few changes at the back, after Bellusci picked up a suspension midweek and Jason Pearce returning from his suspension. I think we will win by virtue of being "less awful" than anything spectacular. Two fantastic goals from Mowatt midweek should have been enough to see us end this dreadful run, but we made mistakes and paid for them again. Cooper should come back into the side for me. Bellusci has great passion, but there is a line where "passion" is mistaken for the fact the player is a liability, and at the minute he is playing jump rope with that for me. We may just be a little more settled at the back without him, we'll see. Similarly, Berardi is a bit gung-ho, though with Sam playing well again midweek, I think he will hold onto the RB berth. I suppose Berardi could be considered for a CB slot, but I'd rather see Cooper. In terms of my midfield selection, Adryan still needs fitness, but I think he will start, and hopefully show us some of his potential. Mowatt picks himself, as does Cook for me and Bianchi has generally been solid. With Rudy absent, Dawson may well feature from the bench at some point. The front two also pick themselves for me. Had sharp been fully fit I might have gone for a front 3 dropping Adryan to the bench though.

Have Your Say Surely this has to be the one where we break the chain? Cheers mate, added the league positioning information and such and brought the top scorers back from last seasons threads. Got a feeling I'll be happier with the thread than I am with the result
2.5 - 2 .5 score draw it is then... if if we don't win this then expect implosion and relegation. Am I confident we will win? no.
Great thread mate as per usual, we have to win this one and by a couple of goals although I would take a 1-0 I really can't see where we can go apart from down if we don't get maximum points, they are not going to come any easier than Blackpool at home.
Big win and turn the corner, with Glory singing we're going to win the league all next week.ok will take any win with a good performance.
Oh dear, Redders is getting his excuses in early. Blackpool are a 'dangerously evolving' squad under new boss Lee Clark, and fans shouldn't be expecting an easy game on Saturday: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...d-of-dangerously-evolving-blackpool-1-6938315
Morning all. I see a comfortable 3-1 for Leeds. Not sure I see ianchi at the base of diamond Dammed. Other than that, should be a similar team to Tuesday with only Cooper coming in.
i think you need to score early the longer the games goes without you scoring the more your guys will feel the pressure, and if Blackpool nick the first goal i can see them holding on 0-1
