If you're not going to join in bugger off! I've got a torch and a pitchfork and I'm walking on Downing street as we speak. Burn the witch!
The average human eye can resolve an angular resolution of around 4 arcminutes, which corresponds to an object of 1.2m at a 1km distance. Flight MH17 was flying at 10,000 metres, so a human eye could resolve a maximum resolution of 12 metres. The wingspan of a military jet is around 12-15 metres. So if those villagers actually saw anything, they would have seen two specks in the sky, 10km up in the air, one of which could possibly have been resolved by the naked eye to be a commercial airliner. It would be impossible to work out what type of aircraft they were or that one of them was military, or that one was flying underneath the other. Hell, people as old as some of those villagers, with the associated macular degeneration, probably wouldn't have even seen any fighter that would have been up there, or even any plane. And yet they claim they could see two jets, one of which was a military one, and was flying directly under the other one, a fact which an individual with perfect vision would almost certainly be unable to determine. I call Shenanigans
There's always something else to discuss! It may not be rational, it may not be true, it may get very angry or just plain silly but it will be disscussed.
Where do you come up with all your facts Swarbs? Is it mainly general knowledge/stuff you are interested in or do you research them on each occasion?
