a LB and Striker are needed. Possibly 2 strikers if Wickham doesnt sign a new contract. I dont see a need for a midfielder, as long as Alvarez and Giac come back from injury. We have Rodwell, Catts, AJ, Giacc, Alvarez, Larsson, Buckley, Bridcutt, Maviras and Gomez (10 players). Not to mention Watmore and Honeyman who could be used in a pinch imo. Get rid of Graham, Jozy out on loan.
I disagree with the midfield because in my eyes we don't creat enough. I said this in pre-season with Giacc in the team to.
Two of our creative players are injured though, unlucky. They'll both be back before January, what would be the point of bringing in another when there are other areas that need addressing? We need a creative player now not in January but there's nowt we can do about it.
I'm talking about we don't creat enough from center mid pal. I just can't see Gus playing Giacc or Alvarez in there. we should address our Lb problem first tho. If I'm being honest we don't creat much as a team. it could be missing Giacc & Alvarez, it could be our players not good enough or it could be Gus formation. **** knows at the minute.
I wouldn't hesitate to play either in the middle. Larsson just doesn't do enough with the ball and he does it slowly. Catt's taking care of protecting the defence, Rodwell going box to box providing defensive and offensive support. Larsson's spot should be going to Alvarez imo with Giacc inside left. With a fully squad I'd like to see us line up like this. Why not, on paper it's got to be our best team hasn't it? It's balanced, his own system and provides a bit of everything except pace. We'll never have all of them fit together of course, which is why we need our January signings to improve us, otherwise we might as well spend nowt and continue with the squad players we've got. It's not the window to bring in squad players imo, except for LB(where we need cover) every other signing needs to be top draw.
